No they said that was the plan. Get choo, get cruz, then make a trade. But he also noted that it was a longshot.

I think they think they can get choo, but they are unsure about cruz because of the dh thing. But I'm pretty sure STL is not a possible trade partner for us at this point. Tampa, both chicagos, maybe cleveland are more logical
