You guys probably saw Trumbo play quite a bit since he was in your division. What are your thoughts on the trade? I'm not feeling great about it.

I wish I could tell you that you got the better deal but I can't.

I can't tell you what he is saying or thinking. I just tell you guys the reports I read. And it appears that the rangers have made their offer and its not what choo wants. If he is waiting now, its because he's mulling accepting less money. But I just don't see him turning seattle down unless its a mystery team. I highly doubt we'd change

It's kinda amazing after that bad report from yesterday. How dysfunctional the front office is. Sure he has to have read that.

He does have the potential to hit for a higher average though

I really liked skaggs so I'm bias, but I think you guys lost out

Btw, that heyman tweet confirming what my friend's told me the past couple of days should prove to anyone that anything JD says to the public isn't all true. I wouldn't believe anything he says. Perhaps there is a reason he takes things to the public, as private as he is most of the time

Yeah, I would be concerned. The Angels are much better (for us) with him there. And they were painfully in need of starting pitching. But they still may be fourth best in the division. Trumbo may do well with a change of location.

He can't hit the slider and can't lay off of it either.

It's what you gave up IMO. Trumbo has power and can deliver HR's but lots of K's too.

I still like Eaton and Skaggs quite a bit, I think we'll really end up regretting it in a couple years. Trumbo does remind me of Reynolds which scares me.

KT is in his contract year so he went out and tried to add a "big name".

I would be really frustrated with KT.

The Rangers need to move fast if Choo plans to sign tonight or tomorrow. Either dig deep into the wallet for Choo or make a quick signing with Cruz. If Choo does sign for the money he is predicted to make (6 years, 100 mil), Cruz's price will most likely go up (based on the money that FA outfielders are getting and the fact that he will be the last big name in the FA market). However, if Choo's price keeps going up, I would rather pay a extra for Cruz than overpay Choo 20 mil more than he is worth

JD must realize that if we don't get Choo or Cruz this team will have a shitty offense similar to last year. You can't rely on some minor league kid you traded a 4th outfielder for to play LF everyday.

I would be really frustrated with KT.

Yeah, he's horrible. Remember when Arizona had the best pitching prospects in all of baseball not too long ago with Bauer, Parker, Skaggs, Corbin, and Holmberg? Well... 4 out of those 5 are gone now.

In return we end up with Gregorius, Cahill and Trumbo. Yuck.
