Steelers to host him.
Somehow I think he would fit there......Then the injuries vanish? Sounds like Lion luck.
Steelers to host him.
i get that we are kinda succeeding ourselves to death here but but trading/cuttin calvin and suh is not the answer. otherwise we spend the next few years getting out of cap purgatory (not hell same boat last year still made moves). then try and draft the exact same impact players we had been searching for over the same 8 years; while we willingly plunge ourselves back into becoming the biggest most embarrassing laughing stock the league had ever seen.
either way please tell me who we buy/keep after we get calvin and suh's cap hit off our book. who out there for the what 30 million a year replaces the best WR in the game, and a 4 time All star at a discount to make this team a super bowl champion since you all know the market so well.
Have not read any other posts on this thread. Does this mean a S is drafted or is there a converted CB in house as mentioned before here? I do not want him on the cheap either if he does not sign elsewhere. Can't stand to see the missed tackles.
We tried to put him on the practice squad, but the NFL ignored their own rule and wouldn't allow it. Bitches.
I'd expect him back in camp this year for sure.
Outside of Wendling, all of these non-re-signings are of little-to-no impact. Even Wendling should be a pretty minimal loss- he was a great special-teamer, but he offered nothing on defense, and his peak years are behind him, so going younger and cheaper makes sense there.
McIntosh was a good reserve LB/ ST stud, but hardly irreplaceable. We can find another one of those for cheap in free agency or the draft.
II didn't do shit for us last year, and Gandy has been a solid reserve interior lineman, but I'd rather go with a younger option with more upside.
Good moves all-around, imo. Shed the dead-wood and give those roster spots to kids with better up-side.
We need to get younger, and all these guys are 30 or older, if I'm not mistaken. They're all good enough to land jobs somewhere else, but it's time for us to move on and find fresh blood...
I have not forgotten.....Why is it some ordinary guys like us see it, but guys paid to see talent don't see squat?
Merged all chatter pertaining to current Lions being released or re-signed. I'll keep adding to this as old threads get buried, or we can just add to this one with any new news.
