With Suh and Farrely worthy of being the highest paid tackles in football, there just isnt money to spend. Lesson learned on my part to disregard everything the reporters who follow the Lions say. While you could say that 50% over his basically league minimum salary is significant that isn't even close to what their reporting implied. That's an excellent contract. No complaints about it at all.

The Lions need to find a way to get an extra 3rd or 4th round pick. Getting a Weston or Stone in the middle of the draft would be a very good get. I am not sold on Austin and would like Detroit to start looking for Doms replacement as soon as possible.

Isnt Waddell our starter? Austin played some Guard last year. Never remember him playing Tackle though I suppose he could play the right side.

That's a helluva bargain on Raiola, as it buys time to get another Center. This years draft isn't all that good and not a one of them should be drafted before the 3rd round from a skill set, but 3 of them more than likely will.

The Lions have been talking about Austin for 2 years now saying he could play Center.

LaAdrian Waddle is our RT and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

Yeah, Waddel started half of the games last season, at 22. Austin is 25, got cut by the Lions once already, and hasn't knocked Dom off the roster. Jason Fox is a FA, I believe, finally.
