San Fran took Marcus Lattimore in 4th rd. Huge injury history. It may be a wasted pick. The roster they have allows them to make these moves. Lattimore hits and they look genius. He stays injury prone they move on.

Thanks for answer. I knock Mayhew for Broyles and Titus. Taking a flyer on guy late who has early round talent like Fox and Marcus I don't mind. Less risk big reward.

Miami is on a mission to sign the Lions IR. Delmas, Fox, and now Burleson is down there? If all 3 are healthy this year we need to look at the training staff.

I heard fox chose miami over detroit because while hes on IR in miami he can rehab on the beach, unlike trying to rehab in the snow. Maybe miami will give mike thomas a call too.....

Detroit Lions: Jason Arapoff

13th season with the Lions. This is why fans like me think Mayhew has been running this Titanic since 01, and not Millen.

I agree with Gandy on the later round flyers on Injured early round talents.

Best pick, I was pissed. Not just the pick, but then Linehan constantly tried to smash him between the tackles.

Broyles was drafted too early (and brought back too early) for his injury concerns.

:agree:Just wondered if he was commendable for this. Sure once he is fired next year, he shoulders the Broyles and Titus picks. Moving up for Best and Whitehead... I guess this should be on bitchfest thread.

:suds: We all wish that were true. Unfortunately thats only the ammortizing amounts of their signing bonuses. Assuming both make the team it will add $420k in base rookie salary to each guy for their draft slots.

Rookie deals are not supposed to be an issue for the teams, unless you are the Lions. Since it doesnt look like they even care if they get a deal done with Suh before whenever, that means that The Clown Show will do what they do best and make the problem even worse with yet another fucking contract restructuring.

Since we have played that stupid card so damn many times we actually dont have very many options on whom we can even do that. CJ is probably the most likely since he has the largest salary other than Suh, and its only $5m. So we will push back more dead $ on a guy who already has more than $29m dead right now. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant management. We are so lucky to be blessed with the very best running our team. :L

Since the top 51(or maybe 52 now) contracts are all that counts against the cap whenever we sign a player a player at the bottom of the list is displaced. Nate and Caraun both signed contracts worth $420,000 the miniumum salary that increases our cap number is $535,075(Sam Martin) at the moment. Signing bonuses become dead money the moment the player is signed though, so that's the only part of there contract that is a cap hit.
