What made it work in Miami was the combined mindset of all being willing to sacrifice.

I'm sure James, Miller, and Jones will all be hammering that message throughout the locker room.

It's easy for James, because most of the sacrificing is to help his game.

I agree. I'm sure that Bosh, Lebron and D-Wade had a heated discussion or 10 (or they just yelled at Chalmers ) as they were trying to get it all figured out. However, I don't recall any of them ever going public with it.

I don't know if it was because of Riley, the fact that were constantly being attacked or a little of both, but they always presented a united front publicly. As much as I rooted for them to fail, I was always impressed by that.

Makes it even more possible that should they not make finals he will bail in 2015. His verbal agreement to resign in summer doesn't mean anything once other teams start calling

It's interesting that he's worried about his rebounding stats as well.

I know guys have bonuses based on scoring, rebounding titles etc...

But, he has to know that everything he says will be closely scrutinized and that calling for more shots after a couple of preseason games will get him the side-eye from many.

I'm one of the few outside of Ohio that is actually happy that the Cavs will field a winner.

...and even I think he shouldn't be making these statements to the press.

Looks like he was taking it slow for his first 5 games but in the last 2 games he has played like the aggressive Wade that I expect to see all season long

Clyde Drexler is such a freaking homer. I'm here watching the Spurs/Rockets preseason game and they're talking about the Western Conference and this idiot had the nerve to say OKC aren't even in the picture this year and he listed Houston in the top 3

People do realize that unless he has a major setback, It is almost a lock that KD will be back before Christmas right? You would think Durant is out for the season the way everyone has eliminated OKC

Dallas @ San Antonio- Looking forward to see the new look Mavs vs the world champs
Cleveland @ Chicago- ECF preview
San Antonio @ Phoenix- The Suns are the IT team this year so let's see how good they are
Denver @ OKC- I love Denver and think they're going to be really good if healthy
Toronto @ Miami- A little bit of a homer pick here but interested to see how my boys stack up against the team who most think is the 3rd best team.
Golden State @ Portland- Last time these 2 teams played Portland won 119-117 in OT and Curry went for 47
OKC @ Brooklyn- Only because I'm going to this game
