London dominating on the shot clock, but Val D'or still leads 1-0 after two periods.

Can't wait to see Anthony mantha on the wings roster in the future. Wings scouts believe he's the best pure goal scorer that they've drafted in the last 20 years

He's got the only goal tonight (and 82 on the season when you include the playoffs).

Val D'or wins 1-0 (a 51 save shutout for the Val D'or goalie).

You don't see many 1-0 games in the Memorial Cup. 51 save shutout is very impressive. Some really nice saves mixed in there.

He's got a nose for the net for sure. I think he's got all the tools; not convinced he's got the toolbox. He's had apparent work ethic issues that are masked while playing against kids. He won't be able to do that against the beasts that play in the NHL. He's got a pretty damn high ceiling though.

That's pretty damn impressive for one season.

Yea that's his biggest negative for sure. He actually reminds me of Johan Franzen. Franzen could be a 50 goal scorer if he had the work ethic

As for the Mem Cup... GO CURTIS LAZAR!!! and I guess go Edmonton Oil Kings by extension.

Lazar has all the earmarks of a winner. Let's make it official before he joins the Sens in the next year or 2.

.

at the WJHC, he and Druoin were the only two that could take over a game if they so desired (Petan to a lesser extent).
Unfortunately, it didn't happen often enough at that tournament.

Mantha did look slow at times, but when he got going... look out.

Guelph (OHL champs) defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL champs) 5-2 yesterday. Always dangerous to make predictions this early. but Guelph looks like the team to beat at this year's Mem Cup.

I'm no Oil Kings fan, but I never get tired of seeing the Knights lose. Keep it going Edmonton.

lol - Rico Fata, what a bust. I'm just curious though, why is London hosting this tourney for the 2nd time in 9 years? Never have been a fan of any of the Hunter boys, either.
