lol - Rico Fata, what a bust. I'm just curious though, why is London hosting this tourney for the 2nd time in 9 years? Never have been a fan of any of the Hunter boys, either.

presumably because they have a nice/big/well televised arena? (never been, just a theory)

they do have an awful lot of jerk-puck in their alumni list - in addition to the Hunter connection.
dino cicarelli (who i loved as a player, but was definitely a leader in jerk puck antics)
dave bolland, krys barch, corey perry, s tits, kadri, z rinaldo, etc

I'm not sure I'd count Tavares, he was just a rental. I think of him as a Genny

I know, I was actually just going through the lists of all-time players for each WHL team just to see who made it and who didn't it - pretty interesting list

They do have a a very nice arena, but still they can't be the only ones in Ontario with one. It'll be really sad if the Ontario hosted Memorial Cups just keeps getting rotated between London, Windsor, Kitchener and Ottawa. The Memorial Cup format with auto host is bad enough as it is, it shouldn't be the same 3 or 4 teams that are the benefactors of that IMO.

I'm no Oil Kings fan, but I never get tired of seeing the Knights lose. Keep it going Edmonton.

I agree with this. Also it's way past damn time the Memorial Cup comes back to the West.

Hope Val-d'Or wins tomorrow. Makes games 5 and 6 more interesting if they do.

Guelph makes it to the final with a 6-3 win over Val d'Or.
bad news for the rest of the teams - they look like they are having fun out there.

Was pumped to get a chance to watch Jarry yesterday. Of course I was in and out watching and saw him give up a relatively soft goal. Anyone have a comprehensive breakdown of prospects on each team?

hockeysfuture.com has a lot of really good stuff - if you click on each team they'll show their prospect talent scores and their probability of success(ranging from A to F)

My google search did eventually lead me there. I was hoping there was just a simple roster for each team that listed if they were drafted and by whom. Haven't been able to find one, bugged me. HF will probably help me know who's better to pay attention to anyway. Pretty sure that Jarry is the only Pens kid in the tourney still though.

"Jarry is, in many regards, the antithesis of current Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. His glove and stick work are already thought to be pretty good and his mental game is considered top notch. He seems to be able to maintain an even temper under duress and his game is typically unaffected by bad goals."

This sort of cracks me up. I can't really be too excited about the kid though, if he has a great few years he's still 4 years out. Only 19.

Something like this for example(you can click on the players to see):?

The way they're playing there's a pretty good chance of that happening
