Because his name is Domi and he can actually play hockey.

/same can be said for Rychel

Might have to re-visit this thread in a few years - Bold prediction - Emile Poirier (who was drafted 10 spots lower than Max Domi) will have a better NHL career than Max.

I like Emile Poirier's game - he seems like he can have success in this league

Yeah, Max has skill, but if his name wasn't Domi he would not be getting the attention he is.

Damien Cox just named those two as the most NHL ready in the tourney, fwiw.
(doesn't bode well for them)

also, Val d'Or...... holy shit, yet again.
we are heading to overtime.

Longest game in Memorial Cup history and first ever to go to triple overtime. Good stuff.

Good on Edmonton to rebound after giving up a tough tying goal and get the win. Here's hoping for a good game on Sunday.

Guelph is going to be really tough - these are probably the two best teams going at it(Val D'Or gave a tremendous fight) in the final, so I think it eventually comes down to goaltending

Why is Damien Cox even on these broadcasts? He knows fuck all about what's happening at the major junior level, and he's certainly not useful as an analyst. I had to laugh when they asked him specifically during one of the overtime intermissions something along the lines of "if you're the Edmonton Oil Kings in that dressing room, in this situation how much are you looking to your stars to provide a spark?"... isn't that type of question better directed at someone who's actually been in a dressing room in some capacity during a serious hockey game at some point in his life?

To be honest, they're all pretty bad, sans Jeff Marek - but I don't watch them as often as people like you probably so I can't fully say

Come on refs where's the goalie interference call? No way in hell should that count.

lol - Is Bertuzzi a hockey player or a running back? How long do you give a guy to carry a puck in his glove?

Freaking fantastic second period by Edmonton. Just 20 more minutes to bring this thing back West.

Wow I went outside and it was 2-1 Guelph and now Edmonton leads 4-2 - looks like the Oil Kings will wrap this up unless Guelph has a comeback up their sleeves
