Come on, Murray.
Really happy for Murray.
I wonder what will happen with this tournament going forward now that the drought is over. Will it lose some of its luster with the fans? granted Murray will be around for at least 5 more years, but there is really no other british men behind him after that. Not yet anyway.

Th Brits are killing it in the Juniors right now. They just beat the US at the equivalent of the Junior Ryder Cup, which is pretty embarrassing considering how much bigger our country is. Kyle Edmund is a top 5 junior prospect and Luke Bambridge is a solid prospect as well.
what happen to donald young? lol
Stefan Kozlov (USA) is by far the best best junior player in the world at his age group. He's 15 years old (born 2/1998) and ranked as the #21 junior in the year world playing only half of a full schedule. He just made the quarters at Wimbledon Juniors with a win over the #3 seed. He'll make his ATP Tour debut in Newport.
The US has a few other very good prospects in the 1998-2000 range. The guys born before 1998 aren't world class, unfortunately.
Cool. I will actually be in Newport for 2 or 3 days of the tournament. Maybe I can get an up close look if he makes it past round 1 or even plays doubles
Kozlov was actually in the first match off on the tournament today. He lost 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 to Przysiezny. To put that in perspective, Przysiezny just beat Rhyne Williams (former NCAA runner-up and child prodigy) in two straight tournies, and Williams (like Przysiezny) is just outside the top 100. So as a 15 year old he is competitive withtruly elite college players and near top 100 pros. That's just mind-boggling.
