John Erskine gets the gate for three games for his elbow to PHI Simmons.
Which ironically hurts the Flyers, since two of those three games are against Pittsburgh.
The thing that amazes me most about the Erskine one is that with 4 officials on the ice, nobody saw fit to call a penalty. It's not like this was away from the play or anything.
League needs to start handing out suspensions to officials when they miss blatantly obvious penalties like this too.
At the very least the league should have a grading system for their officials. Maybe they already do...but they really need to have something in place to keep them accountable. Most jobs have that, don't they? Missing something occasionally is okay, but completely blowing a call? That can't be done.
