I know, but they are gathering prospects, and all it takes is for Stanton to tell mgmt that he wants out because he wants to win now. he has already stated he is unhappy with the new direction the team is going.

That's all fine and good, except when your top 3 prospects are better than the top 10 prospects on most other teams

The multi team trade has slowed because Cleveland wants another pitcher for Cabrera.

In terms of a move for pitching depth Mike Pelfrey was non tendered by the Mets and could probably be had for relatively cheap after coming off of surgery. When he's on he's as solid as they come but he's very inconsistent. Wouldn't be a bad gamble as a 3/4 pitcher.

the deal called for texas to send them Olt and Martin Perez, i would consider sending them an additional pitcher to get Upton maybe Grimm

Man, CLE is going to make out like bandits on this one if that is the case. They give up Asdrubal Cabrera and get Olt, Perez, and someone from AZ?

i agree but Cleveland wants Bauer from Arizona and that ain't happening so to get Upton we give them Olt & Perez +

I agree, can't believe AZ isn't wanting more. I'd give Olt+Perez+Grimm in a heartbeat for Upton. Then if we could pay $6M to get rid of Young, sign Grienke and Josh

That's too much. Olt and Perez are two of our top 5 prospects, plus Grimm is three top 10 prospects for Upton? No freaking way. I'm not opposed to adding something to sweeten the deal but we either gotta get something back or make it a low level prospect.

Olt+Perez+Grimm is possibly shields worthy.
