and Feliz is under contract thru 2016 and has the stuff to be there too as a #5 because he'll never be a big innings type either

May be a little early to make the call on whether he will be a big innings pitcher after only 8 or 9 starts last year. Some guys come back fron TJ surgery as good as ever.
In his first start last year Feliz sort of surprised everybody with a killer change and a descent breaking ball. Not sure if he was having elbow problems after that, but I never saw the change up or much of a breaking ball in his other starts. If he can can come back and flash both of those pitches with his fastball it will be hard to write him off as just a low innings #5 starter.

I could see neftali as a #3 type guy

Agreed. Feliz could be a #3 or back in Santo Domingo waiting tables. Sometimes he looks unhittable and other times it looks like he's wondering what's on TV tonight.

I've been following the post on here just about daily since I stumbled upon it last season. I'm not sure why some of you believe AO may not be a long innings type of guy. He's a big strong athletic guy who was converted from an outfielder with an outstanding arm. He is still learning to pitch at the major league level and needs to refine a 3rd pitch. If he can do that I see him as being a dominating type with top of the rotation stuff, IMO.

That's why they say that. Until he refines a good off speed pitch he won't be a guy who goes 7+ innings every time.

Wow Towers. Why not just go ask for mike trout. Nice to see other teams tell towers to take a hike for his ridiculous demands as well

Problem now is, the best offer is the Mariners offer, and all Towers is going to want is something along those lines and no one else is going to overpay like that

Not talked about, but why not send Olt to Atlanta for some starting pitching? not sure what the return could be, Teheran or Delgado maybe? Medlen or Minor, I'm not sure what would even be a fair trade there, kind of left field

But Atlanta has a pretty big hole at 3B and an abundance of starting pitching

The Cubs are on Upton's list to veto a trade too. Sounds like Towers just wants to keep Upton's name in the news. Time is running out for him.
