Here are my new WR rankins (post-combine):

1. Brandin Cooks
2. Jordan Matthews
3. Sammy Watkins
4. Donte Moncrief
5. Odell Beckham Jr.
6. Mike Evans
7. Marqise Lee
8. Kelvin Benjamin
9. Allen Robinson

Switching up my top three to...

Evans
Watkins
Robinson (was really hoping he'd run better)

Then it's
Martavis Bryant
Marqise Lee (Not factoring in injury proneness)
Paul Richardson
Jordan Matthews
Kelvin Benjamin

I always thought Matthews' athleticism was underrated, but he's just posting insane numbers at his size:

6-3
212 lbs.
33 1/4 arms
10 3/8 hands
21 reps
35.5 vert
10' broad
4.46 40
6.95 3-cone
4.18 shuttle

Two of my favorite for the 49ers for the first round might not even be there when it's all said and done (Matthews and Gilbert). Ugh...

Kelvin Benjamin's sheer size against the last 15 years of WRs measured at the combine:

Hand Size: 93% percentile
Arm Length: 97%
Weight: 99%
Height: 94%

Now Stephon Tuitt won't perform at the combine. Could this drop him to the 2nd round???

If Tuitt's there in the 2nd, add his name to the gluttony of talent in that round. If ever there were a time I wish the Niners had like seven 2nd / 3rd round picks it's this year (and 2010).

According to the Draft Value Chart we can trade 30 and 77 to move up to 21.
We can trade both 2's to get to the end of the 1st.

I'd love Matthews or Cooks at 21. Or if by some miracle, Gilbert fell.

Calvin Pryor at the end of the 1st.

All conjecture and of course we need trade partners. But, if we can get two impact players and still keep our 3rd I'd be thrilled.

I know a lot of you guys love the depth of this draft and have stated it a lot.

Anyone else think we should go this way?

By the way, Daniel Jeremiah is apparently reporting it's a fractured foot for Tuitt.

Bad news for Tuitt; possibly great news for the Niners! This might even prevent him from performing on Notre Dame's pro' day. Last year it was March 26th.

I'd rather have Tuitt than any of the CBs in this draft, any of the safeties in this draft & maybe any of the WRs in this draft. And now he might fall to the 2nd round!

I'm advocating going the opposite direction. I say trade down if someone offers a first next year to move to... say... the end of the 2nd.

Suppose we do that. Watkins, Evans, Matthews, Cooks, Benjamin, Lee, Beckham are all off the board probably. Moncrief will possibly be gone by 56, possibly Landry too, so what receivers do you advocate us taking in that scenario?

It seems dangerous to pass up on all of that talent at a position of need.

I get your logic, but I'm just curious.

If we move down we need to stay in the top half of the second round otherwise stay put.

I'm ok trading to the 21st, but because of this deep draft it seems like trading both 2's make more sense?

Peshek: CB Metrics 1.0 - Out Of The Box - Rotoworld.com

Looking at stats like this are making me think twice about Gilbert and start to understand how bpa could be a wr like Cooks for the 49ers.

Cb seems like it could be addressed in the 2nd.

It's unlikely someone will offer a 1st rounder in 2015 to move up, but if they do I say they should take it. They can always trade a later pick to move up from 56 if the guy they want is there around 40 or so.

Clowney is making Dee Ford look like a tool today.

Aaron Donald moving up the charts like I thought he would.

Here's a surprise: Jackson Jeffcoat. WOW! 4.6 flat & a 1.6 10 yard split. I did not see that coming. Well, take him out of consideration. I would've been fine taking him in like the 3rd round, bu this should push him into the 2nd.

Anthony Johnson didn't make any money today. Nice. Keep dropping buddy!

Aaron Lynch didn't run huh? Hmmm....

Ronald Powell with a 1.56 10 yard split. That's pretty good for 237.

I'm just kind of confused as to how you can put so much stock into the combine, yet at the same time be happy that one of your favorites doesn't do well. Wouldn't that imply that the combine isn't as important because the guy is obviously a good football player in spite of his measurables? Those two things just seem inconsistent to me is all.

Or did I miss something and you actually don't like Anthony Johnson and want to see him do poorly?
