that's going to be an interesting decisions gms will have to make. Any thoughts on the ability Evans had when Tannyhill was the starter a couple years ago?

as in, did he flash downfield and with that jumping ability when Tannyhill was there as well?

Might as well switch to this thread:

So far these people are winning the combine:

Brandin Cooks (1 inch shorter, 3 pounds less & bigger hands than Marqise Lee).

Jonny Manziel (almost 6'0 & huge hands; it's Russell Wilson all over again; I may have to change my mind about him).

Sammy Watkins - 6'06 211 is a great size for him.

Odell Beckham with huge hands for a guy his size (10'') Decent size too at 5'11 198.

And Jordan Matthews has some monster hands at 10' 3/8. 6'3 212 too. Yikes! If Matthews has good speed numbers he'll be a first rounder for sure, and Clyde will have to tell me he told me so.

Are they gonna measure arm length today?

Davonte Adams & Marqise Lee with disappointing measurements.

Adams: 6'1 212 w/ 9'' hands.

Lee: 5'116 192 w/ 9 1/2 hands. That's pretty small.

Something I didn't know about Marqise Lee: he's 22 year old. I thought he was younger; he graduated in 2011.

Compare that to Brandin Cooks who's 20. Lee is 23 months older than Cooks, 21 months older than Donte Moncrief, and he's even 8 months older than Jordan Matthews, who's a senior.

This is the time of year I start to take notice of players who are younger or older than I previously thought.

Lamarcus Joyner will be turning 24 in November.

Compare that to Eric Reid, who will be turning 23 in December.

Ra'Shede Hageman will be turning 24 in August. One of the older prospects I've found so far.

Don't know how old Dominique Easley is (or teammate Marcus Roberson for that matter).

Stephon Tuitt is younger than I thought. He's still 20; he'll be 21 in May.

Stanley Jean-Baptiste will be 24 in April. Oldest prospect I've noticed yet.

Marcus Martin will be turning 21 in November. Youngest prospect I've seen so far. Compare that to Travis Swanson, who's already 23.

Allen Robinson will be 21 in August.

Easily the biggest news of the combine so far. A QB with his style needs to have huge hands to throw darts on the run.

I love the enthusiasm, there's a huge google.doc on prospects age here.

and else where there's a spreadsheet on hands, arms, height, 40, shuttle, even wonderlic etc of every player to be in the combine since 1999. The only reason I won't share it here is for your safety.

:gaah:

I promise I'll keep one eye on the road at all times while I'm reading it! :D

Thanks for sharing. That's a lot faster than google-ing every prospect.

I'm very wary of older prospects who came out of nowhere their last season in college.

This means Hageman and Kelvin Benjamin. They're both 23, and they didn't have great seasons until 2013. Why is that?

I'm also wary of Pac 10 WRs, so I'm a little worried about Brandin Cooks. But he's looking like a pretty damn good value if people still have him going in the 2nd round. Comparable to Marqise Lee IMO. He could return kicks.

It's for the better good I don't, even get sucked into it at times. I cannot imagine what would happen to this thread if you were given the keys to 15 years of easy, sortable, combine information.

By now you might have noticed rotoviz isn't free. There's a way around paying, it's called blocking cookies from rotoviz.com and make sure you delete the cookies you've received from it by visiting their site or else it still will as you to pay.

I figured Adams was shorter than his listing.

He has tiny hands too.

I'm wary of receivers with great college QBs. Not that Derek Carr is the next Andrew Luck, but he's great in terms of college QBs.

It's part of the reason I don' t like Mike Evans & Kelvin Benjamin as much as most people.

Moncrief at 221 is pretty impressive. Can't wait to see him run.

9 pounds more than Matthews. It's not as big of a difference as I was expecting; Matthews was listed at 206 before. Moncrief is gonna have to do significantly better than Matthews in the speed tests for me to maintain my level of man-love. Matthews has the longer arms & bigger hands.

Based on game speed it should be no contest.

I think so too, and that's why I've had Moncrief as my 3rd-favourite WR in college all year ahead of Matthews. In fact, the way Marqise Lee is looking Moncrief might be my 2nd-favourite WR prospect behind Watkins (we'll see how the speed numbers go). I figured a guy who's bigger AND faster and has had a terrible QB is probably being overlooked.

Not that I don't think Matthews is a great prospect. I do. I just like Moncrief better at this point.

Right, Moncrief offers deep ball separation that I don't see us getting from Matthews.

I could see Lee falling out of the first round now.
