I agree at least try, although it was too late by the time he figured out Dirk was going up for the shot. Too focused on swiping at the ball, or as some call it, impressive D.

I am torn, just to play a version of devils advocate: honestly he is not going to block it and contesting could result in a foul and Dirk was shooting horribly the entire 2nd half so keep him from driving and make him make it. If you put him at the line you minds well head to the locker room, using that same logic i do not like Melo's lame little ball poking either. It looked like complete fluff from Melo but if he accidentally gets Dirk on the arm (or if it is KD and the wind from his flailing arms knocks KD over) he is headed to the line.

HOU is going to be more formidable than I thought against OKC and MIA if those 2 face off. If Hibbert does what he does against MIA Dwight should have a field day against them. HOU is really coming together and I think they might still need another piece but that could be as easy (and difficult) as getting Dwight and Asik to play together.


I think we would see some LBJ on D12 action in the finals and that could be amazing!!!! So many things in that match up make me think of Bill vs Wilt.

If Oden was available last night things would've been different at least in terms of Dwight production. Miami didn't play close to it's best and still nearly won. LBJ had 3 points in the 2nd half, Oden did not play, and Bosh/Cole/Chalmers/Battier combined for 13 when they usually combined for about 37 points nightly.

I really want to count on Oden in the playoffs but any minute he gives I will consider a gift.

I only was able to see the end of the game but wow, CB, Rio and Battier went 3 for 16 and not a single starter made a 3p attempt...on 12. No way they play that bad in the playoffs, plus no B2Bs.
