Oh yes, Chase Young is the best player in the land, for sure!
Too late to tank it now and draft him. Was Hamlet still hurt? He wasn't much of a factor in this game. What did you think of Chris Olave? I think he's our newest version of Michael Thomas.

I didn't see that explosiveness or separation from Hamler yesterday. OSU DB's were step for step with him when I focused in on him. That worries me a little when moving up to the next level; can he still shake defenders when the competition gets tougher? He's not a catch in traffic type, so he needs to show that he can shake his defenders with speed and quickness ... I didn't really see much of that yesterday.

Hamler was wide open on the lat drive, but the backup didn't see him, and that was all she wrote. I think Hamler is very good at separation, but was double teamed most of the time. I do agree with you that Ruggs may be the best draft pick we could make in the next draft.

Minnesota WR Rashod Bateman is another WR to keep an eye on. Every time I watch him he reminds me of Keenan Allen.

I'm very happy with either Ruggs, or CeeDee Lamb! I'm going to submit an early mock draft soon, for what it's worth.

The Eagles have sooo many needs including S, LB, WR, CB and DL.
I would be troubled to have to choose between the several players that I expect to be available such as Lamb, Ruggs, Delpit or any of the top DB’s.

I heard that Delpit isn't a very good tackler, for a safety. I wouldn't go there in the first round.

I try not to let myself get sucked into draft things while a season (no matter how disastrous) is going on.

But I did see some clips of Ruggs yesterday that made my eyes pop. The kids speed is amazing. And I think the speed easily makes the jump to the pros.

Unfortunately, I can see him being a darling of the combine with his numbers and set up to go even before we could get to him in the first.

It looks good Duke!

I kinda hope they trade down though and gain more picks. This draft is deep on the WR, DB and Oline this year so they can still hit on good picks with more volume which they need in a lot of areas.

Thanks but I don't think this is the year to trade down. We need to draft as many real studs, instead of just decent players. We need 2 stud Wrs at least.

CeeDee Lamb is a young Larry Fitzgerald ... Not a speedster, but he's everything else you want in a receiver. Great route runner, really good moves after the catch, wirey strong, smooth footwork, excellent at finding soft zones, etc ... etc .. I would have zero issues if he's our first rounder. Would pair that pick with a speedster later in the draft ... Rd 3 or 4 as we need both, a future #1 and a speedster to stretch the field. Have to mix in a CB in Rd 2.

I look forward to the combine, with all these receivers' speed. The reports I've read, are that he is a 4.3 guy.

If I had to guess on his 40 ... I would say mid 4.5's, but straight line speed isn't his game, it's his body control and route running. Jerry Rice was a 4.6 guy and could get open at will, while there's other guys out there who run 4.4 and struggle to get open because "all" they have is straight line speed ... cough cough Nelson Agholor.

I have checked several sights, and they are all over the place. You're right, the combine will be great to watch. I think he'll be lower than 4.5 though. Probably somewhere in the 4's. We should have a bet. :2cents:
