This officially looks stupid. No Desmond? Only going back to the Spanish Inquisition? So basically, they are completely abandoning the the game outside of Abstergo and the Assassins v Templars (I assume the Templars will be there, but there was no mention in the trailer).

Right now it is at the "wait for Netflix" stage. I will need to hear REALLY good things before I consider seeing it in theaters.

It seems to be a really stupid idea.

Love the games. Don't see how they can translate into a good movie though.

The optimist in me says that having Fassbender on board means it'll be pretty good. The pessimist says it'll be a CGI fest short on plot and long on interminable action scenes.

And can anyone with a straight face actually be outraged by an AC movie not staying true to the game? AC can't seem to stay logically consistent within their own damn franchise.

I have never seen the video game.

My college son has never seen the video game.

My oldest son(in grad school) told us the movie had bad ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

This gave me the pre-conception that the movie would be garbage.

The son I watched it with fell asleep in the movie and couldn't understand how the Templar Order could be so stupid. My college son gave it 1.5 stars out of four stars.

I actually thought the movie was way better than I expected. I was expecting a lot of fighting during the Spanish Inquisition period, but got some techno weird stuff to tie it into 2016. Big deal on that.

Wait to see it on television though. Some of it really did not make much sense but I am okay with that.

The lore that has been built in the video games was pretty strong. I do not understand why they decided to abandon it for the movie. I have no desire to see this flick.

I knew it'd suck before the first preview that I saw ended. Movies about Video games always suck. Just like video games about movies always suck.

Problem is that I guarantee after it plays overseas and everyone pays for digital DL's, it'll make a small profit. Even if it tanks domestically, these video game niche movies always seem to come back again and again, because if people won't pay $30 to see it with some popcorn, they will pay $5.99 to DL it on their cable provider.
