I would bet on Wilson over Cam.

I think the Panthers will likely win this week vs. Wilson and the Hawks but you never know. The Panthers are a weird team that has looked funky lately. They are either really due to turn it around or just a big fuck-up.
As for the poll, I think the Panthers get the 5 seed and the 6 seed will come down to the head to head match-up week 14 in Seattle. If Seattle and Minny both stumble though, one of those teams in the NFCE could actually sneak in there. Sad thought. That stupid tie may come into play too.

i could have listed the redskins and cowboys but then it would have gotten confusing because 1 of them is going to win their division most likely and i don't really anticipate a WC to come out of the East but i guess it's possible.

so, if you want to pick the skins or boys, just click 'other' and post them in the thread and then fuck off
Now this is confusing. You say the WC won't come from the NFCE so there for you omit Dallas and Washington, yet you include the 3rd place Eagles?

Based on winning percentage vs S.O.S., I'll take Panthers and Seahawks.

If...

Minnesota loses to GB
Carolina beats Seattle
Philly beats Dallas

(very possible sequence of events)

Not only does it look possible the an 8 win team gets the 6th seed - it almost looks likely.

Yeah, a lot more to it then just those 3 scenarios but you are right. An 8 win team might get in. I'm leaning toward a 9-6-1 Vikings though just because of their defense and of course, a couple of breaks needed. I don't trust Cousins much and they need to find a run game but I just like their chances more than some of the others. Even 8-7-1 could get them in. I think the Hawks end up 8-8. I'm hoping for better and not completely counting them out but it will be hard for them, I think. Even those division games aren't gimmes despite what people think of the Cards and Niners. Panthers is a bad match-up on the road, KC is just fucking scary and could be a shoot-out like the 2 Rams games this year and the Vikes are a toss-up. Should beat them at home but who knows.

I did the predictor & was a bit disturbed :(
1 - Saints
2 - Rams
3 - Bears
4 - Eagles (got tie breaker with Cowboys both 8-8)
5 - Seahawks
6 - Somehow the Packers.

Full disclosure I gave the eagles the 2nd game against the cowboys didnt figure a sweep was in order but very possible.
Going into the final week I had the cowboys, Eagles & Redskins all 7-8. A lot of NFC East vs. NFC East games left that can end up with anyone winning. I can see all three teams right now in control of their own destiny still with the way the schedule is. Which team gets or stays hot & who ends up with the best vs. div record.

And a week later, the whole thing is turned upside down. I'm not sure we'll know anything until week 16-17. Huge win for the Hawks yesterday.

The wee one gets you again Hank.

It was a bad game for me in general as I really dislike Cam as well.

When Gano lined up for his attempt I told my son he'd better make it because Wee One won't screw up his drive.

Even if he had made it, Russell had 1:30 or so to get a FG for the tie or a TD for the win. They hadn't stopped him much in the 2nd half, and as it was they got down the field in basically a play or 2 and just waited to kick the winner. Russell > Cam.

So you're basically thinking Seattle is going to play themselves out of it with 4 of their last 5 at home, and 3 of the 5 vs AZ & SF? The KC game is going to be tough, but 4-1 from here is a good bet.

I understood what you said there @DJ. I hope you are right. That gives the Hawks a realistic shot at the 5 seed and not having to face the Bears. We have a better chance at the NFCE winner, I think.
