I make more good points in a day than the 5 or 6 ankle biters do in a year.
Now responding to ankle biters could well be considered stupid, but I don't take them serious enough to avoid them.

You seem angry. Miserable, even.

Yeah.

He's clearly done.

Probably should just go ahead and retire. No future.

Ok. What is "top tier" to you ? Rory is 27 years old and between the Euro & US tours he has 22 wins including 4 majors. He's the reigning Fed Ex/Tour Champion but according to you he's not top tier ? lol I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you're just trolling.... Jordan just moved to 1 back, btw.

The greats are measured almost singularly by the number of majors they win, same with tennis.
Rory has a chance, Spieth does, maybe Dustin Johnson has a slight chance, none are there though and none have proven consistent enough to raise their odds above maybe 30% of having a TOP tier career, second tier is very obtainable for Rory and Spieth, but far from a certainty.

You really didn't answer my question. How many majors does someone have to win to be considered top tier ? 19 guys in the history of the sport have won more majors than Rory and he's only 27 years old... which btw is 6 years younger than Phil was, who's one of those 19 guys, when he won his first.

Tiger didn't have as many top competitors as Spieth has.

I dunno about that. He had Mickelson in his prime, plus multiple major winners in Vijay Singh and Ernie Els. The issue is that Tiger was so far ahead of his competition and won so often and convincingly that had he not been around...how many other guys would've claimed Majors/multiple Majors?

Put it this way....Tiger starts his career 15 years later....I guarantee that he takes away more Majors from others than they take away from him.

8 to 9 would put a player at the Gary Player level, which is close enough I'll give it a top tier rating.
None of these guys are second tier yet though.

Really Mickelson was such a late bloomer as far as winning majors, Tiger didn't see much of his best golf till very late in his great period. Those other guys were all top 40 types.

So there are only 6 guys in the history of the sport who are in its top tier then ? Snead, Palmer, Jones, Trevino, Seve ... they don't make your "top tier" cut, huh ? You're very strict and that's a pretty silly standard.

A good part of why Mickleson was a late bloomer was because of Tiger Woods....Vijay Singh and Ernie Els were 'top 40' types? Whatever that means.......those guys might've doubled their major totals had it not been for Woods.

I disagree... Tiger would not have been as dominant against these great young golfers as he was 15 years ago. The competition is much more intense now.
