Once Cleveland loses and the team breaks up one can get Love for a low first rounder. The guy looks bad. Real bad
The Celtics should sign him.

If GS thought they could beat the cavs with what they had, they wouldn't have made changes. They looked around realized they probably played the best basketball season they will ever play collectively as a group and individually and it wasn't enough. They know they only got a ring prior because love and Irving were out...So they went out and tried to get better, i don't blame them but it's clear as day they knew they couldn't beat the cavs as is...i actually expected to play okc in the finals next year had durant stayed

Right.

Every team in the league does what they can to get better every offseason. This might be the dumbest comment you have ever made. I know GS thought they were good enough to beat Cleveland as is. Adding Durant makes them better. That is why they did it. It was not because they didn't think they were unable to win as they were constructed before.

Exactly.

The way a contender remains a contender for as long as possible is by looking to improve their team. Every other team in the league is trying to improve to catch up to them. Why should a contender be expected to not make any moves and let them catch up?

I think that what makes this a more difficult pill for some to swallow is the level of player that was added. Usually you see contenders pick up a role player or 2. Or maybe a former great player who still has a little bit left in the tank and is looking for a ring or 2 before they retire (ala Ray Allen to the Heat).

KD to the Warriors would be like the Lakers getting Tim Duncan when they had Shaq and Kobe. Which, if they had the opportunity, they no doubt would have done.

What difference? One chose to leave a situation where he had been unable to win a title because the FO wasn't spending the money and making the moves to win a title and one stayed put because his teams FO did their job. We don't know what Duncan would have done if he were in a situation like KD's.

It's hilarious how desperate you are to try and make it look like what KD did is somehow worse than what Lebron did.

I think what KD did was worse than LeBron's idiotic antics. KD joined the team he couldn't beat who are the 2x defending WC champs & have the current 2x league MVP.

Actually you are coming off desperate trying to defend it as the same thing...you are desperate to prove that durant wasn't scared and joined the best team in the nba without him, lebron never did that

You are trying to make sweeping generalizations like joining any stacked team is the same, when it's not

And? He went to a team where he has a better chance of winning a title. Just like Lebron. Do you really think that if the Heat had just eliminated the Cavs from the playoffs before Lebron joined them that he would have stayed in Cleveland or gone somewhere besides Miami?

I think LeBron's a jackass but it doesn't mean what he did was worse than KD jumping to the best team in regular season history.

The heat didn't make the finals without him
