First pick I am not happy about. We got enough ST safeties in FA already.

Edit: Granted he can be a dime LB as well, but not a huge need for us.

And of course Kwiatkoski goes the next pick.

he has a lot of upside if Austin and Oden can get his technique right. eye discipline waivers on him and slow instincts at other times with poor angles

Hope you are right. So much more talent out there though.

I think they were expecting BC FS Justin Simmons being there and he went right at end of 3rd comp pick to Denver. They had 4 meetings with him and dinner on two ocassions. I thought that pick was a slam dunk until Glasgow became that pick.

gotta remember they're going 75-80% 5/10 packages, according to BQ on that M-Live article.

Hopefully he is not going to mess with Austin's defense too much. That could be a disaster. He is the GM, not the coach.

wouldn't surprise me to see them go UDFA for LB or late late pick in 6th. There were 11 LB listed as prospects seen, on Walter, and majority appeared to be more in line with UDFA's.

We as fans just think differently as to what needs are and drafted

No. Don't misread into that. He was simply replying to a question asked of him and stated Caldwell/Austin would be in 5/10 75-80% of defensive snaps.

IMO just stating a vision of what type of personnel to draft. Which is awesome to be on the same page as your coaches.

I was off by 5% low and high. and this was from February but could swear there's something later on in March or April.

Bob Quinn's evaluation of Quandre Diggs and how it could impact Detroit Lions' need at LB

Asked how cornerback Quandre Diggs' performed as a rookie, Quinn provided a positive assessment of last season's sixth-round pick out of Texas.

"Yeah, Quandre had a good season last season for the Lions," Quinn said. "I have fully evaluated him and I think he's a good player, primarily as an inside corner. That's the best thing that he does. That's a very important position. We're going to be in sub- or nickel defense 70 to 75 percent of the time."

That means Quinn anticipates the Lions having five defensive backs on the field three quarters of the team's defensive snaps, which also indicates just two linebackers will be utilized the majority of plays.

Really good landing spot for Beavers. He will have time to develop with the Vikes.

Nice pick of Cooper by the Rams also.
