Tavares gets 4 minute penalty for Tarashenko highsticking teammate Kovalchuk.
that sucks in a game this important. serves Tavares right for not burying that empty netter moments before.

Russia rope-a-doped, and waited for mistakes. Lucky for them, the mistakes came.
Kovalchuk/Radulov were terrific today. OV was largely invisible.

That call was total BULLSHIT.

I thought Russia got a goal taken away. So things tend to even themselves out.

I thought so too.

reffing was very bad today. SOOOO many tripping / slashing called missed.
not the reason we lost, but frustrating to watch.

What's with all the NHL backups in goal during this tournament? I would have thought Canada could have gotten a better goalie tandem.

I expected nothing less from a team of players that didn't make the playoffs or got bounced early.
