Has us taking Butler over DT's like Reed, Robinson, and Billings. Plus Elliot was still on the board. Im curious on what you guys think about how CBS ranked their DT's. I still believe Elliot should be the pick b/c the depth at DT\De is huge. We will find a good one in the 2nd round. Rankins and Bullard weren't even in the first round which I find very hard to believe.

I am fine with it if that is BPA. I forgot, another knock on Elliot...he is a quitter.

Never heard that about Elliott. If Gurley was pick #10 coming off an ACL. How isn't Elliot the pick @21 and healthy? Elliot does just as much as Gurley. Gurley may be better but not by much. @21 it would be a steal. Its a bad RB class I say swing for the fences if Elliot is there @21.

So the question is who is the BPA Elliot or Butler?

Didn't quite mean it like that but his tirade after the Michigan loss will be a huge red flag for the NFL.

Elliotts a monster so I'm kind of torn on him because I hate the idea of drafting a 1st round RB but I do think he'll be really good. Depends who's otc at 21 I guess but I'd lean toward there being better picks available.

if elliot is the BPA i would draft him . as you know i dont go with stereotypes for when a players position should be drafted

an explosive game changer like elliot in our backfield can change things

I think he likely will be BPA. I saw a big board with him at #3 overall today. He's really good. But RB is sooo easy to get decent production at itd be a shame to pass up a gamechanging defensive player for a RB.

That is why BVA is a better idea than BPA.

Wow some really good posts this morning and I agree with nearly all of them. I'm not a fan of a 1st round RB either but am a huge fan of BPA or BVA as it were. If that's Elliott I'm very cool with that, as posted a game changer there would be big. But if he is not rated that way I'm also fine drafting a DL in a draft full of good DL. The only thing I know is I am totally confident GMSM will draft a good player.

As long as we are smart, we should get a player at 21 that should fill a hole immediately. As far as I'm concerned, we could go S, DL, ILB, CB, C, big WR and Even RB with that pick. RB would be my last choice, but if a game changer is there, it will be hard to pass up. The right strategy might be to pass on DL at 21 since there are so many talented DL in this draft and go DL with the second pick.

According to several outlets Elliot will be taken much higher than 21 so he may not factor into the equation anyhow.

well if its a game changing d/lineman then you pick the d/lineman . its a huge need but i though we were comparing a game changer at RB to a very good d/lineman
