Yep and were not depending on melo to lead them
He could be a 20 & 10 type of player if he can consistently make a jumpshot
Kobe with 24 shots- making 8 for a 33%... - THIRTEEN of those shots being 3's...
CMON MAN!
Laker's would be so much better of if Kobe blows his Achilles again in the next couple of games.
Be interesting if Kobe gains a little perspective as the year goes on and tries to help the kid's develop by taking less of a dominating role or if he just continue to inefficiently chuck up a shot every time he touches it in order to get his meaningless stats.
Obviously only one game in but one name fans should get to know is Nemanja Bjelica.
Wolves rookie but he's played in Europe and he looks like a real player during the pre season and the one game last night. 6'10" stretch PF who can handle and shoot and gives good effort on D.
As a fan of a team who has had nothing to cheer for but raw, inexperienced youth for the last 10 years, it's refreshing to get these type of Euro kids on the team and actually watch players who play the game the right way.
He's going to be a very, very, very similar player to Mirotic on the Bulls.

Randle can handle the ball as well, you see him take the ball up and drive the lane? Flashbacks of Odom in his prime.
I think the Knicks have an upswing this year, but I think last game against the Bucks was a bit of fools gold. The Bucks didn't have 3 major rotational player including two starters and a 6th man (Giannis, Jabari and Mayo). On top of that the Bucks didn't challenge the guards of the Knicks which is their major weakness right now (at least defensively). Getting Afflalo back will help alot though.
The Knicks won't have trouble scoring this year. Their problem I think will be mainly defense and they played against a Bucks team that isn't really a team that puts up buckets. I think they'll struggle against a lot of teams with superior guard play. MCW and Bayless aren't exactly that threatening.
thats a good point. Bynum is OUT OF THE LEAGUE! isnt that crazy to think about? I mean how old is he? He cant be 30...Certainly turned into a worst case scenario. Just think, though, if they hadn't traded for Dwight. They probably would have given Bynum a large extension. One positive I guess.
I know....Man, I watched some of that Magic game and I don't see how they are gonna be able to play that backcourt together, long-term, unless one of those guys learn how to shoot.
Olidipo is Super athletic.
But, I could see Henojoza replacing him in a year or two.
I mean, they are not MCW bad.
But, they need a shooter in that starting lineup for spacing and Tobias is not the answer.
