But thats the thing, we are not talking about just yesterday. We are talking about the last three years, and going forward. Every QB has a bad game. Hell there are guys who have won divisions and even Super Bowls that have had 5 INT games.

Tannehill has PROGRESSED every season since he has been in the league. Name me ONE QB on our roster that you can honestly make this comment about. And dont get me wrong, I actually like Cousins. But I think his ceiling is Rex Grossman. I think Tannehill's floor is Kirk Cousins.

NP - I don't believe that the Redskins future QB is on their roster (hope I am wrong). The Redskins should find their QB within the next few years. Now that the Dolphins game is over I could care less about Tannehill or the Dolphins.

Ummm those teams all have much better qbs? And that's my point is those 7-10 teams shouldn't want him because he'll put you in qb purgatory.

Ummm... exactly where the hell have WE been the last 20 years?? Oh wait.. QB Hell with the Devil calling the shots.

Yep - how about that. That was due in no small part to the Bills defense. That is why I think that I disagree with where someone else here posted that the Dolphins would be the class of the AFC-E in a few years. I would put my money on the Bills.
I think they've got a good shot with Rex there. He knows how to give the Pats fits. And if Tyrod progresses well...

Rex Ryan..... Enough Said.

So the Dolphins coach is that much more impressive? He squeaked one by against a lesser team that made lots of mistakes. That makes him a better coach how?

NOt saying that. What i am saying is that Rex has a track record of making teams almost good enough, to only then get full of himself and get fired in the process. I do expect the Bills to have a fairly solid run under Rex for the next couple of years. Then end up like the Jets when he left.

If anyone saw Ryan Tannehill yesterday and saw a QB good enough to put his team into contention for the next decade they are mistaken. He basically played as well as Cousins, no better, against a much worse defense. Should have had 2 picks, put up all of 10 points, and missed opportunities all game long. Nope not impressed at all with that guy.

Perhaps but also consider the possibility that Ryan has learned from some of his previous mistakes (don't mistake his public persona with how he may actually run the team). Consider other coaches who have done much better in their 2nd or 3rd try including Belichick & Carroll.

Ryan is not bellichck or Carroll. He is a one deminsional all coach (defense) that is mostly all talk and no hat.

Exactly. Which is worse for having a competitive team. But better if you're trying to win a super bowl.

You seem to forget that just about everyone thought that Carroll was not meant for the NFL & look at him now. It doesn't matter if a coach is one dimensional (many are) - they can always hire others to handle the other side of the ball. I am not saying that the Bills will win the SB in the next several years, but I would not write if off either.

Obviously yesterday makes me second guess a little but I have to wonder about rex in Buffalo. It's not a good fit imo. He could make any defense good. And that defense would be great without him. It's overkill and they need an offense which he has always struggled with. Sorry if I'm not jumping on the tyrod Taylor hype train lol

If we are going to play the woulda shoulda game, Cousins SHOULD have thrown two more picks and taken another sack that was negated by a penalty. The 10 points he put up was enough to help his team WIN. I realize that admitting Tannehill is a much better QB just makes the RG3 move look that much dumber. BUt face it... we not only took the wrong guy, but passed up on the guy who would have this team in a much better situation all in one brilliant move.

Rex would've been great in Atlanta though. Matt ryan and Julio already but he could turn that d around.

Not in a better situation to win a super bowl. (I mean technically yes but you know what my point is )

So explain to me how we are going to have a competitive team if we are firing coaches every two or three years based on poor QB selections. Because lets be real. Shanahan got fired because of RG3, and if Gruden gets fired.. it will be mostly because he failed to fix... RG3.

And therein lies the problem. No one worth their salt wants to work for that blow hard and all the drama that is associated with him.

You got to make it into the playoffs to even have a shot at a Superbowl. Miami will make the playoffs barring injury this year.

Us.... shhhhittttt

But you can make the playoffs and not have a shot. Miami is a fringe playoff team with him. They're path to a Super Bowl caliber team is quite possibly harder than ours.

Well ideally you hit on a qb. I think Gruden has a poorly disciplined team and runs the team a bit immaturely. It's not just that he couldn't develop rg3. But if you have a coach who is simply average and doesn't add to any drama then you stick with him until you get that franchise qb and then you build around them.

How do you figure that?? We are currently looking at

1. Possibly drafting another QB early
2. Looking at bringing in another HC

The perennial contenders are NOT constantly changing coaches and QB's. Again dude, just admit it.. we suck. And mainly we suck because we are constantly trying to make the splash move and take shortcuts. ONe of two people will not be in Ashburn next season. And if Gruden goes, I think RG3 stays. Which basically makes us Traci Lords in the 80's... fucked nine ways to sunday.
