Cali.. how can you not be at least a little impressed. The Dolphins were on the road, lost the TOP, and Offensive production battles. Yet they still managed to win the game. Yes they were favored. But the fact is, they played 60 minutes, where as the Skins played 15. Am I in awe of their performance?? Nope. But i am impressed that the QB who many around here swore was a mistake, played well enough to prove once again that the only mistake was in us not considering him worthy of the #6 pick.
They made the plays when needed. So they deserved the win.

We were done in by mistakes and penalties and STs. But we did much better than I expected most of that game. And without DJax. With only 2 TEs. With a rookie right side Oline and a solid running game.

I agree with Cali. The fins didn't beat us, we beat ourselves.

Eerily reminded me of some of the gaffes in the Texans game last year

Not yet, heh
Well, fine .... be that way. I guess the only alternative was to be all 'official' about it and make some silly avy bet.

Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say "HI"

I'm not a tannehill fan. Taking him just puts us in qb purgatory. While what we did didn't work out at least we took a chance on the maximum upside (chanced almost hit). Now we can try again for a franchise qb and not a dalton/tannehill/cutler.

I'm not so sure he is pining for Tannehill as much as he is pining for those draft picks we gave up.

To trade up for Griffin instead of staying put and taking Tannehill. I mean after all we had 3 first rounders and a second rounder inactive today. Mean while the guy we decided was not worthy of a single first rounder just handed us our asses while the guy we deemed was worth 4 high picks was inactive yet again. MAster card moment... fucking priceless!!!!

I wouldn't say Tannehill was handing out any Skins ass yesterday, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think "What if" while watching the game. With the "What if" being what if the Skins had kept those picks? I concluded that there's a high 90 something % probability the FO would've found a way to fuck that up as well.

Lol they definitely wouldve. But either way, Miami tannehill is probably as good as you could hope for with him. - and it's not good enough to want him.

Really Breed, you wouldnt consider a guy who hit roughly 70% of his passes, didnt throw any picks and managed to only take 2 sacks worthy of a little bit of pining? Especially in light of the fact that the guy we took over him cost 4 times as much as wasnt even active, hasnt managed to stay healthy and even when he is healthy physically you have to wonder if he has something wrong with his head?? :)

I think that you are missing his pt. Let's say that they drafted Tannehill @ # 6, and he played similar to what he is doing now. There is a good chance that previous Skins FO makes subsequent splashy FA moves & even trades a lot of those picks & it all turns out badly.

I understand your displeasure with the trade, RG3, etc. However - at some pt you just have to let it go. For all of the bad that has occurred with this and similar moves there is one silver lining. All of the poor moves & resulting poor play pretty much forced them to finally get a real GM in SM (I know - you aren't convinced about thy guy). A few years from now this may be viewed as a turning pt. We will see.

Hell no. Ryan tannehill is not a quarterback you want to lead your franchise. Is he better than what we have? Sure but so is Andy dalton and neither one is taking us anywhere. Drafting tannehill would've been a mistake too.

Drafting Griffin was a mistake. Drafting Tannehill at worst would have still allowed us to build a team. We wasted three years trying to go for the sizzle. The Dolphins are expected to be a playoff team this year WITH Tannehill. By all accounts we will be lucky if we are not trying to trade up AGAIN for a QB at the end of this season.

And some would argue we have a better qb situation still. Obviate I would love for us not to have the circus we've had but Miami is stuck in the middle now. They aren't winning a SB with tannehill and they can't get a QB who they can win one with either. There's not really any value in that. Although their fans are less miserable on a week to week basis than us lol

I will bet you anything that you like that the Redskins will not trade up to get a QB in the next several offseasons. This isn't Cerrato, Shannahan or Allen. SM's MO is to value draft picks and not mortgage the future for any position including QB. You need to stop dwelling on the past. Fine - they made several mistakes including several big ones. We get it - move on.

Are you going to reference this trade every single week & even possibly after the pt where RG3 is no longer part of this team? What exactly is the pt? This is like lamenting the loss of a girlfriend months & years after a breakup. It is done & can't be undone. SM has already stated that this team will have issues this year & that very likely will include QB. NP - it will take a few years to rebuild the team & I don't think that he is the type who will put all his chips in on one flashy QB - ain't happening.

HTTR - let's move on with 2015 & try to focus at least somewhat on whatever positives exist (and stop talking @ RG3 so much).

I will simply say this. Until this team actually improves, RG3 is going to continue to haunt us. As long as he is on roster even as the third stringer, he will always haunt this team for the forseeable future. Is there another 3rd string QB that got more camera time this weekend as an inactive player?? I agree with you that odds of us trading up for a QB are slim. But as long as Danny is the owner, I cant rule it out either.

This is exactly what bad football teams (rebuilding) do. They always find a way to screw it up, always!!!!! To many penalties, drop balls, poor ST, no pass rush, bad luck and KC pick 6 (giving away point to the opp). You know guys a lot of this has to with character, confidence and just plain fundamentals.

The Def kept us in the game and we had a chance to win but like I said bad teams always come up short when the games on the line. Even though this looks like the same team from last yr there was some positives. I still believe this team needs time to develop plus we are lacking talent in some areas also. However it will be pretty interesting if this team doesn't improve from last yr. Buckle up guys this is going to be a bumpy ride.

I agree with this. If he's not staying why the hell is he still on the team?
