Then charge non-students and the working public more. Kids who already pay a ton in tuition shouldn't have to pay ridiculous ticket prices. They should be deeply, deeply discounted for students, if they want the student body to attend, which, by the way, has always what has made college football superior to the pro game in my opinion, the unbridled (and boozed up) enthusiasm of the students is as much a part of the scene and history and tradition as the product on the field.

Thought number two, stop with the shitty buy games. Who wants to pay those high prices to watch your team run over the DeVry Institute.

it was a joke anyway, nobody is hurting with current TV deals

Can we just admit that the Big Ten is not currently producing elite teams, and that there is no way in Hell they will make the playoffs this year?

Maybe next year? Absolutely...this season though? How did Ohio State lose to VT in Columbus? Michigan State won't make it without another loss, and Michigan won't take out the trash...

the Big Ten really needs a year where the flagships (OSU, Nebraska, UM, MSU, and maybe Iowa) keep being ranked and keep beating ranked teams...How long ago was it that it was OSU 1 Mich 2...or that undefeated streak Iowa went on...honesty, I kinda miss y'all

There needs to be a little bit of help but I can see Michigan State making the playoffs. But these MFers need to learn how to close out a game.

Michigan State went out to the West Coast and took on Stanford and took them down last season to finish 13-1.

They're currently ranked #8 and we have over a half a season left to play.

They're on the fast track to making the playoffs as we speak.

Other than Ohio State, what other good wins would they have?

1. they charge students for their tickets
2. it was 40 degrees and rainy
3. corner of the end zone tickets suck
4. im guessing he was sitting in press box

:agree:

The AD and coach can STFU, last time I checked it was a free country. If you want to leave, leave. but I bet that alot of those kids left at the end of the 3rd because MSU looked like they were playing the little sisters of the poor and wanted to get started with their partying. :suds: They didn't think the corn was going to come back at all. but thats the risk you take leaving, possible comebacks......

The chances of there being four 1-loss teams this year in the playoff are pretty good.

Can I ask what Oklahoma State's sell out streak is? I don't know, that's why I ask.

Also, is Oklahoma St undefeated?

No idea...I hear pretty much all the time for the past few years...don't care though

Oklahoma State has the best loss of any 1-loss...better than Nebraska or MSU, who have both lost to 1-loss teams

OSU almost beat number one, who is still number one, and haven't had any problems dispatching other teams by double digits since

Distinct chance that the team that tey would have to be in the conference championship game if they make it, would be ranke as well.

What quality win had Alabama ranked so high?

As a recent MSU graduate who had tickets for all 4 years and missed about 3 games in that time, our attendance is mediocre. There is a section of the upper deck that is allotted to students. For the most part the upper deck is almost always empty, as the student section is a first come seating policy. The student section is full about 2 games a year, every other game is filled with empty bleachers, even on nice afternoons against an average Big Ten team. Tickets are usually $180 for the ~7 home games a year. In this case, it was about 40 degrees, rainy, late night, and at the time a blowout. I don't fault the casual fan for leaving in that scenario. However, I think they need to completely get rid of the upper deck area of student seating and just limit it to the lower bowl.

Here's a thought. Stop ass -raping the kids on ticket prices. At most schools, they've been skyrocketing and its been a growing trend for years. The gameday experience has been deterioraiting as the games are driven by TV broadcasting and TV revenue. The extra TV timeouts create too many lulls in the game. Games are more and more made for watching and less and less made for attending, unless you can afford it, which I'm guessing, most college kids can't.

Exactly. but its ticket prices for all that are getting out of control. College and NFL. Fuck that. I've been to hundreds of college games, but I've been going to less and less over the years. the cost is getting out of control. ticket prices, parking fees, food/drinks....... its big $$$$$$$$. plus like mentioned above, Many people have kick ass entertainment centers/man caves with huge TVS, surround sound, and have a party at home. IF our choice was to watch the game on an old crappy set like from the 70s, there would be more incentive to go see it live.

OSU doesn't have a sell out streak because they don't sell individual tickets to certian home games. Case in point if you want Bedlam tickets you have to buy season tickets.

They know Sooners would take over their house if they sold single tickets to that game. I can't help think how much revenue they lose out of stupid pride.

I don't know because I graduated in 2012 and stopped going to football games after 2011...luckily now I'm in med school out here in Lubbock and I can root for Texas Tech:L
