Fat pitch there. You could see that result happening as you watched that pitch happen.

How about a new manager. Will ya work with me on that one?

Martin has so "upped" his game when the "manager" put his faith in him as a LO hitter.

EA has shown renewed life in the # 2 hole......Hey, I know he's sucked for most of the season.

Many of the younger guys: Rua, Robertson, Smolinski have prospered.

But as was said earlier - not by me - the pressure is off and everyone is just playing the game.

Yeah I made the comment about the pressure being off and even thought that while I was typing that, though it seems the whole approach has changed for some of the guys. Whatever the heck happened it was good for the club

just by the sound of it as I heard it on the tv and didn't even see it, I knew the result

Do the Angels want a do-over on the Hamilton contract?

I agree.....And I'm honestly not trying to dance on Wash's Ranger grave. Sincerely appreciate what he gave us and what we accomplished while he was here. I do not discount his contributions.

But the time had come for change, regardless of who made the decision, and I feel we'll be the better for it and hope the same is true for Wash. Although, I'd be surprised if he were ever at the helm for another MLB team.

And yet some folks couldn't understand why we needed a new manager. Isn't it amazing how the players didn't quit giving a good effort simply because Wash isn't here to get the most out of them.

Yes

And regardless of how it played out in the media, maybe we should chalk one up in the win column for JD for not resigning his high maintenance ass.

Not re-signing him was only one part of the equation though. JD never has found a way to replace the offensive firepower we lost with Hamilton, Napoli, Cruz and Kinsler.

Where the hell have you been? But welcome back partner.

We've beaten the crap outta everyone in our path for damn near two weeks.

Ohhhh.....and your Sooners looked quite good against my game, but over-matched Vols. Stay focused and the final 4 is there.

One of the players made the point the other night that they were playing really hard for Bogar to get wins. I thought it was interesting as everyone that was a wash apologist wanted to make that excuse that the players played hard for him. I see all these guys as professionals that will play the same for Wash, Bogar, Maddux, Buechele, MY or whoever the manager happens to be

All of them, with the exception of Cruz and maybe Napoli's skill set was declining. Choo is an upgrade over Kinsler in the lead off spot when he's fit and healthy. We still don't know what we'll get from a healthy Profar yet. Fielder is supposed to be a big part of that as well. We'll see how he recovers from his surgery. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I was really asking as he hasn't been on the field anywhere close enough to make that contract worth it. As most of us knew he would continue to break down on the health front. Now this phantom rib injury that nothing shows up on the MRI shouldn't surprise anyone and its about the time of the year for it

I've been watching. Just haven't been posting every game.

As for my Sooners, tough test this weekend in Morgantown. But I agree, I think they have the opportunity to be special.

All I'm 100% positive of is Hamilton has played 240 games, and delivered 123 RBI for the Angels at a base salary of about $25 mil over 2 seasons.

Horrible investment. And I'm DAMNED glad we didn't make it.

And you're right, the jury is out on what Choo, Prince, Profar relievers here in the long run.

It is true about them declining, but my point was that their production which was needed to get us to where we needed to be in 2010 and 2011 was not replaced.
