Alex Rios has a thumb infection. Decline his option ASAP and move on from that dude. Let him go elsewhere.

(1) What is your problem man? My preference was that Wash didn't have anything personal going on. Who would want that? The burned at the stake comment was foolish. I never intimated that at all. I would have like JD to have realized that Wash was a poor manager and fire him. Ideally that would have happened before Wash was able to manage in the WS.

(2) It is not hard to know what I mean at all. We still have a GM who thinks Wash is a great manager. That is not very comforting.

Well sweet Jesus....excuse the hell-outta-me.

You've been dancing on RW's grave before the funeral for so long I couldn't and wouldn't pretend to know what you meant. And didn't.

Rather than him riding off into the sunset, like he is, you wanted him fired! Terrific. In your eyes this would have somehow redeemed the GM which you seem to think isn't worthy either.

Since you're on top of the game, who should be our next manager? And since JD is following suit, who's the next GM too while you're at it?

expect that has always been the plan

Pretty much....although I will admit, there was a time when I thought picking up the option and trading him was a decent idea.

Wrong on that one for sure. ha

but it does mean that JD may be looking at bringing another RF bat in to replace him because we really don't have anyone that can replace him on the mlb or minor league rosters

Yeah for sure.....DT and I have been debating/wondering for half the summer on how dismal our RBI situation is going forward internally.

I really do feel Choo is going to be fine for next season. And all we all can do is hope for Prince's future. What else can we do I guess?

Seriously, I wonder if our hitting with RISP for next season isn't every bit as troublesome as our starting pitching.

How should I know who the replacements should be and what would that have to do with me wanting Wash replaced? You are confusing two separate issues.

I don't know where you get this riding off into the sunset idea. He is resigning over something personal. That is a shame to me. I would not want him or anyone else to have personal problems. I wouldn't call that sentiment "dancing on his grave."

i would tell Prince to lose at least 40 lbs by ST or face fines for a start

OK....got ya and I'll back off.

But this is what I replied in the first place. I do view this is a terrific opportunity for the club to move forward and wonder if Ron didn't "fall-on-his-sword" for the organization. All this "personal problem stuff" is cover.

For me, honestly, I'd much prefer this scenario than a personal drug problem or have a child with a disease, etc.

I don't know if this is true at all. But RW does seem like that kind of man to me - which is not to be confused with a good in game manager.

Unless Wash comes out and says anything we might never know. The FO isn't going to tell us what the issue is so we just have to wait for Wash to come forward at some point.

Someone will leak something at some point I am willing to bet a lot on that

It's going to be interesting to see how the team, and it's leaders, address and play with RW outta here.

In the coming days there are sure to be lots of reporters writing plenty of speculation and unfounded rumors, until peoples heads are really spinning before the truth is finally told.
