I would rather have the next Magic then the next Jordan(I think Magic is the best basketball player ever) so that's another reason I would rather have Lebron over Kobe. Showtime II with Lebron!

As a LeBron fan the only thing I can say is I think if Kobe in his prime teamed up with Bosh and Wade in their primes in this era of bball, I think he would have done better than 2 out of 4 in the finals.

But thats just me

Lemme add something very simple. Kobe is just as good a passer as lebron, except he wants greatness. Hes had some abysmal games, but he was never afraid of taking the brunt of the criticism, and he took it in stride. Dont believe me? Kobe could make any pass any day of the week, go study the tape.

Wonder how Kobe and Wade would mesh together.

LeBron is better than Bird? Are you sure

I think a lot of posters in this thread aren't old enough to have even seen the Birdman play because if anyone thinks LeBron is better than Bird, they're delusional.

1.) MJ
2.) Magic
3.) Bird

...everyone else.

I don't think they'd have lost the Dallas series because Kobe and Wade were trying to "take turns" during crunch time.

Even if Kobe deferred like Lebron did initially, once he figured out they weren't going to get it done that way, Kobe would have taken over despite stepping on D-Wades toes.

He'd figure that the ring they got would soothe any hurt feelings on D-Wade's part. Lebron didn't do that.

Wade was awesome in the Dallas series. Better then Lebron. So don't see who stepping on Wade's toes is helping them beat Dallas.

No, he isn't.

People forget that the Bird/Magic era was so special because they reached the top of the mountain against EACH OTHER.

I am a Lebron fan and think he will go down as a top 10 Alltime great, once it's all said and done.

But, you really have to grade today's players on the curve because of the level of competition.

Take Howard for example.

He is clearly the best Center, statistically, currently in the NBA.

But, look at him from a historical standpoint.

He doesn't even sniff Mourning status, let alone Shaq, Wilt and the Dream.

Same with Lebron.

He is head and shoulders above the rest.

But, he can't touch the Larry Legends, Magic's, Jordan's because they did it against each other and his closest competition is Kevin Durant/Paul George who would be the Reggie Miller and Clyde Drexler of the earlier era.

People forget when the Raps were kicking LA's ass & Kobe put the team on his back & he single handedly carried them to a win with an amazing 81 point performance.
