You are way off. Pippen was one of the 30 best players of all time and an MVP level player in his own right. There are maybe 3 players in the league today with resumes comparable to or better than Pippen's, and LeBron is one of them.

For the record, LeBron going to Cleveland would be a huge mistake. Like others have said, they lack chemistry, and while I think that Blatt may be a very good coach, their roster is a horrible fit for LeBron's skills.

He does best with shooters around him capable of spreading the floor and Cleveland's best players aside from Irving are not very good perimeter shooters.

I'm not trying to take anything away from him. He was a great player.. and maybe he was overshadowed by Jordan, but I don't remember him being one of the elite scorers in the league. I always remember him being a great side-kick, but not the type of guy you would want to lead your team to the finals.

The worst part of this is just how mother fucking unbearable ESPN LeBronCenter is going to be the next few weeks.

You thought Favre Watch was bad?

You ain't seen shit!
Easy fix, don't watch ESPN.

Unless I'm watching a live sporting event, I've all but cut ESPN out of my viewing lineup.

One problem...

Who sets the pick? Both these guys are creaters. Are you really going to turn LeBron into the roll guy?

Irving could screen for LBJ to create a mismatch with Irving popping for 3, but a LeBron/Irving pick and roll is silly.

James of course. Utah turned Karl Malone into a roll guy and it worked out pretty well for him. And it's not like they're going to run it every play.

This is just too good!! Who didn't see this coming. Wade is too old... Bosh didn't live up to expectations... The heat didn't put enough talent on the floor for James, so he's gonna take his ball and go home. It would be funny as hell if the heat win the championship next year.

So one day Savannah posts a tweet about "the countdown" and finally "going home." The very next day Lebron opts out.

Lebron and wifey are being just plain awful to Cleveland right now, if he has no intentions of playing for them. That would just be unnecessarily fucking with them.

:wtf2: They go to AKRON every summer. Have you seen his house? There's really no way to sell it, unless the entire population of Akron bought it as a group.

The opt out was coming. Assuming he's staying, the sooner the opt out the better. Not that it really puts more pressure on Riley because he knows the deal, but it should now hopefully trigger a quicker response from Bosh/Wade.

My opinion is whatever the decisions will be, leaving, has already been decided.

We are all just now being put through the ego part of it where they like to hear there names on ESPN 24/7 until July 1.

Reports out of Indy are that Bird plans to put tampon machine in Pacers locker-room and add extra stalls vs urinals.

Interesting point was made.

With them both opting out, LeBron and Melo can discuss the possibilities of playing for one team without breaking any collusion or tampering rules.

Same here. Their definition of sports reporting makes Maury Povich look like legitimate journalism.

Regardless of opting out or not... the date of July 1st remains in tact as far as tampering. No team is allowed to talk with Melo, for example, until July 1st despite the fact that he's already opted out. Same with LeBron, same with anyone. No one is officially a free agent before that date.

As far as the players talking to each other... that's never been enforced. If you read the letter of the rules in the CBA... it should count as tampering, but it's never ever been enforced.

Front office personnel will get hit with warnings and fines every time they talk about a player under contract. Players never do. There was only one occasion...when Will Purdue on the Bulls talked about the possibility of signing Tim Duncan the following season. He was hit with a warning but no fine or other penalty. Since then... players have talked about other players under contract numerous times... even in televised interviews with no reaction from the league.

The league should either
1) Re-write the tampering rules to say what they enforce
2) Actually enforce tampering the way its written.

With the amount of cap space he will demand, it will take a lot for the Heat to keep him. And even if he does go back to Cleveland, I don't think it would be with welcome arms.

I have been a Lebron James fan for years. Even with all the haters. But this might push me over to the side.

First of all: "Akron is not Cleveland" has nothing to do with this. Cleveland is where the Cavaliers play. Lebron is from Akron and has a house there, but people say Cleveland because if he does return, that's where he will be playing. Having said that, he's not returning to Cleveland until his next opportunity to become an FA (if then), not this time. The best thing the Cavs can do for themselves is forget about Lebron, try to build a winning team for a change and see about making a run at him in a few years.

Unlike when he left Cleveland, I don't think "The Decision" has been made already. I think he is going to listen to/watch what the Heat do/plan to do and he will compare that to what other teams offer. I don't think he leaves because I don't think another team can offer him any better opportunity to win a title as soon as next season than the Heat can.

I actually think the Cavs have formed a very attractive coaching duo for LeBron.

Blatt is a coach that actually runs an offensive system. That's something LeBron has never really had and something the Spurs just demonstrated to him as an important thing. Blatt's been running the Princeton offense since he played at Princeton and has won league championships using it with a variety of talent levels.

Lue is very different. A former player who is well liked around the league and good friends with LeBron. He, unlike Blatt, has NBA coaching experience and will help Blatt with things specific to the NBA

I think Lebron's wife just won a bet on how badly she could yank the chain of Cleveland's Cavaliers fans.
