Pull him. We leave guys out there too long. He's not fooling them. It will be 6-1 shortly if not.

garbage managing. You are telling your team when down by 3 that you do not think they can come back.

couldn't agree more.

I was trying to be positive for CL, and he earned it; all 6 innings worth.

But, your point of having no one up is just like sitting on a dynamite and hoping for a wet fuse. Odds were stacked against CL for an extended stay on the hill, yet we did nothing preventative.

Nice game to watch eh, Mr RW/MM?

I'm all in favor of him coming out for the 7th, he earned it but as soon as he gave up a hit he should've been out not in for 2 more batters

NO, don't load them for Martinez, are you freaking kidding me?

If the better part of valor is to pitch to the best hitting machine in the game over the past 5+ years then I'm failing to see the advantage, regardless of who's hitting next.

Swear.....I'd just as soon have seen a GS as a walk right there.

5-1 is the same as 9-1 considering our offensive decencies.

Martinez is the best hitter on the road in the AL, take your chances with Miggy.

Doesn't matter at this point I guess, I was just thinking, watch him hit it out...

Hi Everyone, sorry haven't posted, tried to tape games when I could, busy summer. Well... it's painful to watch lately, this team is so decimated by injuries, it's just sad. I saw an article today that JD might be shopping Beltre, Andrus or Yu. Did you guys discuss this earier?

Yes, pretty pointless discussion in regards to darvish

Why pointless?

He's not going to trade him, it's silly talk

What, some organization is going to give you their whole team, because that's about what it would take
have we completely given up for the next two seasons?

I hear ya.....and he doesn't even have to swing the lumber to get an RBI.

You don't happen to remember Herschel Walker do ya?

Conversation, and listening is normally inexpensive at worst.

And here's some fodder for 2 years away too.

Two years ago, the Boston Red Sox were going nowhere.

Boston started the 2012 campaign hopeful it might wipe away the previous September's humiliation, but then played just .500 ball until the All-Star break. While the Sox remained within shouting distance of a wild-card berth, nobody really believed that that Sox squad was a serious contender. Not the least of which was the team's front office, which saw the reality of the situation and sought to retool rather than foolishly chase a title.

That August, the Red Sox shipped off Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford in a blockbuster trade with the Dodgers that freed up money and roster spots to give the team a new look.

The next season, a restocked Red Sox team ended up winning the World Series.

Food for thought is all.........

I agree the Yu talk seems pretty far fetched. Why would you trade away your star pitcher, when you have such a patchwork group behind him.:noidea:

And the Angels are winning, they may take a game on Oakland.
It's like picking between Hitler and the Devil.

I'd rather the Angels win the division (they won't) because they're more likely to get shelled right away
