The first one was a strike Elvis. He threw that one in the same spot. He complains about pitches in the zone more than anyone I can remember. You have to protect the plate.

How many times have we gotten 2 people on base w/1 out or less, and not moved them at all?

I've never in my life seen a team which not only can't hit, but take 3rd strikes like this team does.

The chances of ball hitting bat when you don't swing is close to zero isn't it?

You don't happen to remember Herschel Walker do ya?

Conversation, and listening is normally inexpensive at worst.

And here's some fodder for 2 years away too.

Two years ago, the Boston Red Sox were going nowhere.

Boston started the 2012 campaign hopeful it might wipe away the previous September's humiliation, but then played just .500 ball until the All-Star break. While the Sox remained within shouting distance of a wild-card berth, nobody really believed that that Sox squad was a serious contender. Not the least of which was the team's front office, which saw the reality of the situation and sought to retool rather than foolishly chase a title.

That August, the Red Sox shipped off Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford in a blockbuster trade with the Dodgers that freed up money and roster spots to give the team a new look.

The next season, a restocked Red Sox team ended up winning the World Series.

Food for thought is all.........

I know all about Boston, it's not the same situation...
ya know whatever, talk is fine, I'm just saying no way.

That tells me that there is a lot of guessing going on up there.

It's hard to watch...

I did read an article today, a Doctor....(can't remember his name, you'd know him....) thinks Fielder will be okay next year, that was encouraging

his career will likely be shorter, but if we can get a few years, maybe 4.
and did I read right that we didn't have to pay Fielder this year, Insurance does?
I knew that contract had to have a policy

We have the 10th worst record in MLB coming into this game. This could be another sweep. I would be surprised if it's not.

There is no way that Magadan should be the hitting coach next year. Hasn't helped this team at all the last two years.

I usually defend the hitting coaches, but at this point and with these young guys...fire him, of course the excuse would be, our line-up has been decimated
I think he should go

Our bullpen is really good. I like when they give up a few hits and our manager leaves them out there to get destroyed.

We got back about $7 mil if I remember correctly. I wish it were the entire $20+ but it is not to be.

I hope the doc is right about 4 good years......today.....I'll take 4 good, b/c I'm thinking we'll be fortunate if we get anything more than none.

Man-O-man is my tank on Ranger optimism half empty or what?

Sorry.....I'm being a downer. Boo me!

I don't think he should've kept his job after last year.

In fairness to him: He had his first season with the following:

Fielder/Choo/JPA/Gimenez/Robertson/Murphy/Odor/Sardinas/Choice/Snyder and I'm sure some I don't remember.

How would anyone do with this bunch, under these adverse conditions?

Add in inexperienced and now disappeared Profar, MM who never showed up for anyone, an injured Soto, an AS 3rd baseman who is-what-he-is, an undisciplined Martin (but showing improvement)....well.....I don't know exactly what we'd expect from this "supposed" hitting guru?

I haven't seen any poster say let's trade every asset. I've seen different posters more willing to trade certain assets though.

I've been a fan since I was 5, which was 88. I just about every game growing up. I enjoyed watching sports rather than other crap on TV.

Are you the one with or without the sun glasses?

That trade was more about dumping salary than what they received in return thats not the case with Darvish, its not a comparable trade

Wasn't able to watch the game... to busy getting stranded at the airport. All I got to say about the box score is at least Cobra went 6. Well that and it looks like Beltre is heating back up.
