Well, went as expected. Time to decide whether to get reinforcements or become sellers. The Flames are right behind the Kings in the standings and Vancouver isn't far behind either.

The problem I eluded too, wheres the value even if they sell? At best move a few guys for late round picks?

Good trade for the Flames. Kuzmenko is a UFA and after a 39 goal season a few years ago, he isn't even close to that player anymore (older KHL guy who came over at age 26 I believe). He also played with Michkov of the Flyers in Russia so I'm sure that played a part, Kuzmenko had to waive his NTC to go to Philly. Curious if playing for Tortorella wore on Farabee and Frost and if they wanted out - both guys scratched earlier in the season for multiple games.
The Flames get younger and get immediate help up front, although Frost and Farabee are having down years but have shown an ability to score. The draft picks and Pelletier are throw ins (another 2019 1st round pick who didn't develop, soft draft overall) but the Flames definitely got better.
Not good news for LA, while these two won't make Calgary a contender it does solidify their scoring depth up fronr. Clearly making their push to make the POs and leapfrog LA.
