You can't pick most serial killers out by their obvious actions either.

It fits perfectly. He is associated with multiple murderers, flashes crip signs, and has a record label named in honor of Crips.

And nobody has commented on him being banned from multiple night clubs in PHI. What did he do to get banned while having that much money to spend?

Gk... no one is saying this kid is a saint. I am throwing it out there though that it is odd that all this comes out within two weeks all of a sudden. I think the Eagles wanted rid of him and began a PR move to make it more palatable in the fan view of things. As far as being banned from clubs, maybe he is a dick when he starts drinking. Who knows.

But lets stick with facts.

Fact one. He knows some guys from his child hood who are implicated in a murder case. Doesnt make him implicated.

Fact two. Some one was killed in front of the house he rents for his sister and the police questioned him and found no involvement.

Fact three, he flashed a gang sign after scoring a TD over hall. I will give you this one. But would it have been more acceptable if he had done a decapitation gesture, or grabbed his crotch?? Personally Im offended every time an NFL player kneels and crosses himself after scoring. As if God gives a rats ass you just got paid a few million dollars for playing a game.

Just like this time a year ago Mike and Kyle were great coaches and could do no wrong. I think the truth in this whole thing is some where in the middle, but I think the team will do and say what ever needs to be said to protect their image in the fan eye since at the end of the day, the fans pay the bills. just like if we decided to try and trade or cut RG3 right now, Dan would have to come up with a damn good reason or risk alienating a large portion of the fan base.

Again IM not totally sold on us signing him unless its a good deal for the team. But I put ZERO weight behind all these reports that suddenly show up a week after the team trying to trade and then ultimately cutting their #1 WR.

I dont know about that Cali. I agree there are some high talent guys that are model citizens. But the nature of the game is guys who arent quite right in some aspect usually tend to be the highly talented stand outs. Darren sharper kinda points that out to a degree. Dude was borderline HOF worthy, but we are just now seeing what kind of deamons lurk inside him. Dexter Manley was a model citizen while in the NFL.. we all know what happened afterwards. I think the actual "Normal" super star athlete is actually the exception.

Dexter Manley was not a model citizen while in the NFL. He was a drug user. Dexter wasn't a bad guy, he had a drug problem and that was not rare for anyone in the 80s.

I don't know about Jackson and his alleged gang connections. I think that might be trumped up as an Excuse the Iggles could use for his release. What is more commonly known is he was late for meetings often was a disturbance in the daily workings of a team. This is unacceptible to me whether you can run a 4.4 or not.

Sportster... ok by model citizen I was taking liberty to a degree. Dexter never got arrested, suspended or otherwise did anything that was looked upon as a negative to the team while he was actually playing. His drug use didnt come out publicly until years after he was done playing. Much like Sharper and his issues was not known until recently.

Now while I agree his being late for meetings or a distraction is cause for concern. to a degree thats on coaches as well. And i think Kelly making a point about this is more the reason he was released than some all of a sudden he is a gang banging Crip crap.

FACT 1- He still hangs out with the guys who murdered people. He had an INSTAGRAM photo of one and the murderer was on DJ's record label.

Fact 2- He owns the apartment building where the murder took place and DJ had possessions there. I'm not saying he had anything to do with the murder but that's twice he has ties.

Fact 3- It would be more pallatable for me to give the decapitation sign...that's an empty gesture and can be construed as killing a guy figuratively on the field or the other team. As for your cross thing...that's just stupid...it's not directed at you in the least bit and doesn't reflect poorly on the franchise.

Why do you believe PHI cut DJ then?

Dexter was suspended 4 times during his playing days in the NFL. No one is a bigger fan of Dexter than I am. Hell I have his business card on my desk at work. I agree he wasn't a bad guy but he had a very serious drug problem which did lead to jail time after his playing days.

Talent and entitlement have always been a part of sport. Dexter is a good example. He played at Oklahoma State when Jimmy Johnson there and left without being able to read. He was passed along as so many others were.

I have spent the last 10 years around kids who went from up and coming to star athletes. I watched Navorro Bowman come up the right way. His parents required that of him and so did his HS school. I watched two nephews work their tails off to reach the college level. Their parents required they do the right think ALL of the time. Their HS coaches would except no less and any kid stepping out of line or missing practice or a team event meant sitting out a game. This is not the football I played 40 years ago when we started with two a days a couple of weeks before the season. These kids weight train year round. They have spring practice etc. I have no use or make no excuses for a guy that things he is above the team.

In the end if Allen and Gruden decide they want this guy because he is a talent then they are responsible to make sure he does what is required. I'd rather have a guy that doesn't need baby sitting.

"serial killers"...really, gk?

It might fit, but I'm not sure at this moment it does. Does my "association" of growing up a REDSKINS fan, with my REDSKINS jersey, and my REDSKINS hat make me a racist?

And by the way, when I was in College, I worked as a bartender...I "banned" plenty unruly patrons over the years with "money to spend." And, so what if some of them happened to be Cowboy fans. My bar, my rules.

My point with serial killers is they are worse than DJ; however, even they can fit in society and you won't ever know it.

Not at all. The word Redskin isn't racist at all.

It's your hometown clubs that are banning him. You don't ban the ultra rich because they usually spend ultra stupid...unless they do more damage than good. You especially don't ban a local celebrity because they bring in other patrons.

Living in what was a smallish town back then, Herndon, Va in the late 70's through mid 80's, I do recall one of my favorite Redskins of all time being banned from a couple of restaurant/bars for his antics...Although athletes back then were not ultra rich, they still carried a lot of clout. His name? Most called him "The Diesel".

again , the skins have had time to find out anything they want on jackson thru their own security force the nfl local police dept . etc

personally sleeping and being late for meetings and such is more of a concern to me then possible gang relations .

i agree with shark , why are these things coming out now ?

for all i know he could be involved with the crips , for all you know GK he could be very much innocent

Seems to me people are just looking for reasons why the team should not make a move on Jackson. Since you cant site age, lack of ability or injury history. Got to cling to the fact that he might actually be an off field issue waiting to happen. Never mind that the closest he has come to actually being in trouble was a single arrest and some one breaking into his house.

No one is kidding anyone, if the Redskins sign him we will root for him. It would be one helluva a receiving core.

What does the evidence suggest to you DAD with regard to gang affiliation?

Everything I posted was a fact.

Bottom line is Jackson has done nothing wrong illegally. Is there potential that he is hanging with the wrong crowd? Yes. There is also the potential that this has all been blown out of proportion and the team is using this as a justification for getting rid of a problem child. IF we decide to sign him, we just need to structure the contract that it protects the team if DJ has off the field issues.

As for the talent, lets be real. He is a difference maker. By lining up wide, he changes the entire dynamic of the offense. garçon would now rarely see double teams. Reed and the slot receiver should be wide open. RG3 has legitimate threats at every skill position. As a returner, he is a threat every time he touches the ball. This is a talent that is hard to pass up unless you have concrete evidence that he is heading toward a bad time off the field.

Everything I posted was a fact.

the spelling of jaccpot certainly gives me pause :lame:

flashing gang signs certainly means he is heavily involved :lame:

the LAPD says he wasnt involved in the killings but he knows the accused :lame:

all of that overrides the fact he hasnt been arrested for any gang activity . and the eagles wanted to cut a guy for money reasons so they had to sell the fan base
