Oh no, a team blogger makes a statement supporting & promoting the team he covers. What ever do we do?

Rabble rabble rabble...

Haha yeah this is what I was thinking. Somebody talks up another team other than Seattle and Seattle fans start screaming NO RESPECT!! HOW DARE THEY! DON'T THEY KNOW WE ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS! Isn't winning the Super Bowl enough...Are you not satisfied until all that people talk about is the greatness of Seattle?

On the actual subject I think there are a few teams that can make the argument that they have as good or better Cornerback Tandem of that of Seattle. Yes Sherman is great no argument from me. Maxwell though although good I wouldn't say is the best 2nd corner in the NFL. Could it be that he plays on a great team that can help him more than any other 2nd corner in the NFL? I mean the Seahawks can know they can leave Sherman on an island and be fine so that means safety help can rotate to the other side of the field and help out.

So now when a sports writer comments about Arizona having a great corner tandem or even really having a 3-headed monster now I don't disagree with that. Cromartie is up in the air with his playing ability but my guess is being on a better team with better players around him should help him get back on track. I don't discount guys for one bad year. Now if he struggles again this year then yeah I will say he is on the decline but who knows what was all going on this past year. I mean the Jets were a pretty big mess this past season.

Other teams I could see is New England with Revis and Dennard (I think Dennard is better than Browner). Heck I could make an argument for the Bronco Corners being up there. Talib being a pro bowler this past season and Harris finishing top 10 for PFF. The Giants with DRC and Prince paired together should be a pretty darn good group as well.

Now you have to remember Corners no matter how good they are are dependent on others to do their job as well for them to look good. A corner can't be expected to cover a guy for 5 seconds every play and be successful. Throw in then having good safety help in knowing if you play aggressive and get beat that you have a safety that will be in the right place. Having a great front seven that can take care of the run helps as well so that a corner can focus on coverage more than having to step up into the run game all the time.

He graded as the best corner in football last year per pro football focus, and he did it in a defense that didn't even attempt to use him correctly and coming off of a torn ACL.

Is PFF gospel? Well they had Wilson ranked well ahead of Brady last year so I guess so.

They also had Trent Williams as the top LT, but everyone knows that RG3 played behind the worst protection in the history of football.

I'm not claiming they are gospel. But in this case they're absolutely right. Revis is the best corner in football.

Every time another team is given any props, it seems like Seattle fan starts whining "what about us"??? You won the superbowl, I think you can stop the no respect argument. Sherman is the best corner in the league, other than that, its about your pass rush and safeties. So I think being behind the three for mentioned teams is more than reasonable. Is top 5 not good enough for you?

Either they're reliable or not.

You referenced them as if their opinion means something. Does it?

No, because its not true. Seattles D as a whole and secondary is the best in the league and they proved it. the blogger was looking for clicks and I gave it to him.... i guess he wins.

We still need to see how these guys play together. It usually takes at least 1/2 season for players to acclimate to their team's schemes, so we'll see what happens. As far as the Seahawks, we've already seen what they are, and they're beasts.

It's funny how now Seattle has such a great pass rush. Before the SB it was quite a different conversation about those guys up front.

Not only does he win, he also made it possible for you to make yourself look like an insecure jackass.

It's a win-win.

Haha couldn't agree more. You would think winning a Super Bowl with a great defense would be enough. I guess until all bow down to Seattle superiority they will not be satisfied

Yeah, because no other fans in all of football claim their team has some disrespect at some point. I mean there are so many other things to talk about because of how busy this time of year is for football so why on earth should trivial things like this even come up. :L

Seriously, should any Seahawk fan really care about some fuckwad blogger and their opinions? Of course not. On the same token, should all Seahawk fans be lumped together when one speaks out about something rather unimportant?

Oh, and Zona fans dumping on Seattle fans over this story given their team being mentioned in it. That too is just shocking. :laugh3:

Love the off season.

Didn't mean to lump all Seattle fans together. Just like all fan bases there are a few crazy ones. Just seems on here lately that every topic that comes up some Seattle fan has to say something about how great they are compared to everybody else. I'm sorry but not everything football related has to be about Seattle.

Well, there is a lot of Hawk fans on SportsHoopla, they may be why there is a lot of comments about them.

And not everything football related has to be about Seattle, but if you're going to talk about DBs....

There are lots of 49er fans as well but I don't see them turning every conversation into a 49er conversation. I understand your fan base is excited but it just gets exhausting when you try to talk about anything knowing eventually it will be about Seattle. Now this article is one mans opinion during a slow time in football. No reason to go crazy because he doesn't mention Seattle. Sherman gets plenty of respect but somebody saying that other teams have great corners too is not a slap to Seattle just a recognition that there is talent outside of one team

ESPN had to get in their mandatory NY and NE tv market schlong sucking with this article.

And here will come with an entire weekend of hysteria level coverage of the Jets QB situation from EastcoastSportsPropagandaNetwork
