Zach Ertz Released By Arizona .. Should The Broncos Be Interested, and Other TE Options

Zach Ertz understandably wanted out of Arizona and the Cards granted him his wish ...

In New Orleans, Jimmy Graham enjoyed the best years - by far - of his career .. During the historic 2011 record breaking season in which Drew Brees threw for 5,400+ yards, Jimmy Graham was the only pass catcher on the Saints to earn Pro Bowl and All Pro nods .. The offense was represented by three offensive linemen, Brees and Graham ..

When thinking of that explosive Saints offense, it would be unfair to look at it and think the usual "finesse" -- Sean Payton seems to put a lot of importance on physicality within his offense ..

In his very limited minutes, Greg Dulcich looked like a difference maker as a pass catcher ... Imagine if we had a big time, reliable TE ..

Anybody up for taking a TE in the first round ??

I think a big time TE is what this offense needs to take off ...

What's the thinking on Ertz ??

i just don’t think it’s worth it, the guy is averaging 27 yards a game. Even with the Cardinals being bad, signing a 33 year old TE isn’t the move IMO.

Not sure if Ertz is the answer but I've been screaming for some tight end options in our offense all season long. Really missing Dulcich, IMO. Definitely need to figure it out for a potential playoff run and our Super Bowl run next season!

I mean it wouldn't hurt our TE room that is for sure. Not really jumping all over it either. I feel like we are basically rolling with a blocking role from our TE's this year given what we have.

While I think there is a case that could be made for the Broncos, I think Ertz lands with either the Eagles or Ravens ... The Eagles for obvious reasons, and the Ravens are dealing with the likelihood of Mark Andrews being done for the season ...

The one thing that might attract Ertz to the Broncos is potential for playing time and targets .. I like Adam Troutman and we haven't really tapped into Lucas Krull yet, but it isn't as if Ertz would be sitting behind prolific pass catching TEs ...

I think a good argument could be made for TE being the most pressing position in need for the Broncos ...
