Yeah not sure it is a question of whether he will win but will he be unanimous. Even Tom Brady's 50 touchdown season wasn't unanimous as some idiot voted for Brees that season.
There is noise about Jamaal Charles, (Andy Reid may win Coach of the Year) and while he is a potent offensive weapon and is without the doubt the MVP of that team, league MVP is a stretch.
Russell Wilson is also getting mentioned and I can't figure out why. He is having a solid year, but that Defense is why the Seahawks will have Home-field throughout the playoffs, not Russel Wilson.
This has been a weird year. I can't really think of anyone else deserving of MVP even if you take Peyton out of the picture. Without Peyton they may as well cancel the award this year.
He is a lock for sure. The TD record broken and maybe the passing yard record this Sunday. Things like these stats make the award...not who might be the MVP of a team. This season I can't think of a single player who has carried his team so I have no issue of Peyton getting this award.
If Nick Foles goes out and throws 5 TDs/0 int in a must-win game.
That would get him to a 30/2 TD to interception ratio.
He might then steal a single vote and prevent it from being unanimous
The Eagles were effectively pathetic until Foles came in an turned them into a 7-1 finishing kick.
I doubt it happens.
But that is the only scenario where you could even make a non laughable lame argument.
There is always some contrary asshat voter who refuses to allow a unanimous vote.
If Nick Foles does that....well the contrary voter can hide behind a slim argument.
