... and who's going to be the QB? Ash whose career should probably be over due to concussion symptoms.

Swoopes? Mack burned his red-shirt and then didn't play him.

Overstreet, who has been shifting between QB, RB and WR?

Or the true Freshman, Heard?

Where?????

I think its pretty easily obtained stats.
2-6 in Big 12 2010
4-5 in Big 12 2011
5-4 in Big 12 2012
7-2 in Big 12 2013

I want better improvement as well. I want faster improvement.
But, I cannot sit and say the team is not improving each season.

All we hear is tired ass clichés like Mack is 18-17 in his last 4 years.
So I guess if he goes 8-1 in 2014, then we will hear that Mack is 26-18 in his last 5 years.
When does the statute of limitations for the 2010 season expire?

I can show you improvement

2-8 in Big 12 loss to OU - no bowl game
4-5 in Big 12 loss to OU - played unranked bowl opponent
5-4 in Big 12 loss to OU - played ranked bowl opponent
7-2 in Big 12 victory over OU - played top 10 ranked bowl opponent

It is not perfect, but each year since 2010 has shown improvement in the big picture

Unless Texas is hiring a godlike coach, there is no real reason to kick Mack Brown to the curb.

-
Mostly reflects a down trending Big 12. Remember 9 bowl teams amongst 10? Like I said 8 wins vs 5th SOS in 2010 to 8 wins vs 40+ SOS. I saw mediocre young team 2 yrs ago with promise. I saw mediocre team with upper classmen this yr.

The godlike coach is a joke. There are 20-30 coaches that could get more out of Texas. So you have argued that there is not a program in the country with greater resources, yet that very program can not succeed without a godlike coach. Please explain that. Is it a fragile program that only the most skilled captain can ferry across the ocean or a great tanker?

That is so wrong it's upside down!

Saban doesn't care about Alabama, he only cares about himself and his wallet. And if Texas (other anybody else for that matter, including the NFL) gives him an offer that fattens it more he will jump the first chance he gets.

I have honestly never seen you say anything intelligent.

Meh. Saban was only flirting with UT to squeeze more money from Bama. He isn't the first HC to do this and he won't be the last.

Looks like the last few days have been much ado about nothing.

Just heard something on ESPIN last night about Mack Brown not offering the past three Heisman winners a scholarship, even though they expressed interest. RG3, Manziel, and Winston?

I know, anything that isn't a positive for Alabama is "unintelligent" to you, well that sounds more like a you problem.

Boy, this is getting ugly on so many levels. Everyone assumed that Mack would get the hint and ride off into the sunset. Well, it looks like Mack isn't going to fall on his sword and is going to have to be put down by the powers that be at Texas. However, there are some very powerful people that support Mack. Its like we are watching an adaption of Julius Ceasar, the longhorn addition.

I wish it was only about things dealing with Alabama. Then I could just think you were biased. Instead, it seems to be near everything I see you post, and that makes me think you are a dumbass.

And who wants to say this Alabama contract extension was Saban's plan B, and he was waiting for the politics to settle at Texas.

If Texas offers Saban the mentioned $10 million/year (which not saying if such an offer exists or not, only that Texas does have the capital to offer it) who honestly believes Saban would turn that down?

Biased? To you not see I am a Michigan fan? I got no horse in this race and honestly don't care if he stays or goes. Before you talk about bias, take a look in the mirror there buddy.

But let's put it this way, Lane Kiffin left Tennessee after only one year of a six year contract, and Saban has about character as Kiffin. He just gets away with it because Saban's a damn good coach. If the price is right, Nick Saban will drop Alabama like a bad habit.

I agree with you. My thought is I am wondering who has been blowing sunshine up his ass to make him think he has never done something that he should regret, or maybe had a situation not go as planned that turned badly for him that he just ignored and doesnt want to admit it to himself. Let he who has never told a white lie or mis-spoke cast the first stone, otherwise he needs to STFU and realize that even the Great Saban has some faults and regrets.
