Yeah, everyone else in the college football world is wrong for thinking a contact extension pretty much ends all this. You are the only one with a clue!
Do you ever say anything intelligent?
I am fine with Mack staying. I was open to him leaving - if we found the right coach and if it was on his terms. Those things obviously didn't happen.
If you put things into perspective, we were 1 quarter away from winning the Big 12, without:
#1 QB
#1 LB
#1 DT
#1 RB
#1 KR/PR, flex player.
He gets nearly the entire team back next year. Next year is NOT the rebuilding year. Everyone who knows the roster knows that next year will be one of our most experienced Longhorn teams ever. Mack already has a relationship with everyone of these guys. I think they will play hard for him.
Not saying whether it ends things or not, just that "development" this is meaningless. If Texas offers Saban $8 million or $9 million per year (which they can do), Saban will jump the Alabama ship faster than a rat on the Titanic.
Reading that was like Deja Vu all over again.
It is getting ugly. Mack is holding Texas hostage due to his pettiness and ego. He has always carefully sculpted his public image, even that is starting to erode as the real Mack starts to emerge from the shadows
How long before Mack is Schaub'd next year?
Not sure he is staying. AD and President have yet to speak on the matter. Mack is fighting. He may win. It is a shame, but it what it is

We look like the biggest spoiled brats on the planet.
I am hoping Mack is wildy successful next year and will give him 100% support.
Pretty much I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but there are limits....So that's a no on anything intelligent.
This is very similar to what Auburn went through at the end of Tuberville's tenure. Trust me cut bait before you let things slide any further and you end up with multiple recruiting class issues.UT went 8-4 and are playing a decent bowl opponent, maybe the most intriguing in the Big 12.
UT finished 2nd in the league with a 7-2 record.
UT played a defacto conference title game only 7 days ago.
UT is bringing in a top 10 recruiting class.
UT beat Oklahoma.
Now we want to cry and throw temper tantrums and never support the team again???
It is not like the team went 3-9 and had all its players constantly being arrested.
It was a good year. It was not a spectacular year, but they can finish ranked and 9-4 with a win.
Its embarrassing at times to be a TEXAS fan.
We look like the biggest spoiled brats on the planet.
We are going to burn down the school(?) for having the audacity to finish 9-4 in back to back years.
I don't understand it myself....
I am hoping Mack is wildy successful next year and will give him 100% support.
Been there done that.UT is not bringing in a top 10 quality class. Big 12 was terrible. Mack won 8 games 3 yrs ago vs the 5th hardest schedule. Won 8 vs the 40 something schedule. There is no improvement. let me know how many top 10 programs would accept a 4 yr string of 4 or more losses. How many would rejoice over being 1 game over .500 in conference. Mack will win 7 or less. If you can not see the issues I am not sure what you are watching.
1. Terrible roster management
2. Fading recruiting
3. 0 direction. Don't be shocked to see another philosophy next yr
