Apparently he's been restricted to just the 9ers board. I'm sure he behaves himself over there but his act wore a little thin on the mods over here.

He just needs to get over his obsession with the Hawks and their fans. Maybe his political views are what put him over the top. :noidea:

It is nothing but total speculation to say anything on this debate less than two seasons into them both being starters.

Who will be the Redskins coach next year? What will theybdinwithout the cap penalty? How can Kap do without half his weapons injured? Both have a ton of skill and have shown that they can do ridiculous things and win games almost by themselves. They both have looked very much like 2nd year starters as well.

I'm excited to see them both moving forward.

To early to tell? I agree, but it's not looking to good for either this year and in the NFL you don't get a whole lot of time. I won't be surprise to see the 49ers draft a QB in the first three rounds next year and the Redskins already have a alternative at QB.

I would actually be quite shocked if either team drafted a QB. Especially the Redskins

The 49ers have 6 picks in the first three rounds next year. I would be shocked if they didn't pick up a QB. At the very least for depth and competition.

Harbaugh is NOT drafting a QB in the first 3 rounds. They don't have much as far as backups, so I could see them picking one up late, but not to replace Kaep. If he doesn't improve under pressure by the end of next season, maybe.

How Kaep does from here forth will be the deciding factor. If he doesn't perform in the last quarter of the season, then of course the 49ers will draft a QB early. It would be crazy not to.

I guess we agree.....maybe.

It amazing how many adjectives of hate are used on this board to a guy like Kaep. So he has some tats and was in some commercials- hes a good kid who works hard. Seriously guys, go get laid or something.

Perfect advice for yourself. Just because you have a toy QB doesn't mean it's the end of the world. You'll be okay.

Dude, you're delusional if you think they have any intention of investing another 22 starts in Colin Kaepernick. The writing is on the wall.

Alex was no, Brady, but he was right for their system. They fell in love with Kaeps running ability but never thought the pistol could be stopped? It was a hasty decision and one I bet, secretly, they could take back. I'm not giving up on him but I'm also not sold on him. He needs to be able to dump the ball off when under duress. He's fast not quick. If he were quick, I'd be more supportive.

The 49ers with all their draft choices are in a great position to spend a high draft choice on a QB. If they are not sold on Kaep, this is the time to make a move for the next great hope. Kaep really needs to show he belongs these last few games IMO.

Am I? They got rid of Alex after Kaep had started half a season! I never agreed with that decision but it was made and cannot be unmade. You think a coach like Harbaugh is going to throw in the towel after he made such a brash decision? That's delusional.

I'm a fan but I'm not a fanatical, moron, like some of these people are. Jim Harbaugh is egotistical and isn't going to just tuck his tail and admit he made a bad decision. Kaepernick will either make or break him. He bought into his QB and it will either pay dividends or cost him his job.

It's not throwing in the towel to use a 3rd or even a late 2nd on a QB. Especially when you consider the amount of picks that they have.

IMO, Harbaugh is too good a QB coach to go down with an individual QB when he can scout and draft some other guys that he believes can be developed.

It would be infinitely, detrimental, to young Kaeps psyche. Harbaugh will NOT do that, this year. Guarantee that.

That is kind of my point.

There is no way they draft a QB in the first 4 rounds. Maybe 5, 6 or 7. Kaep was a project that the niners gambled on at the wrong time. They were just fine with Smith. I don't get the decision. Regardless they have just as good a shot as any playoff team to go the distance so this conversation might be a bit premature.

Yeah, I think drafting a QB somewhat early is out of the question.

So if the 49ers draft team (face it, this isn't Harbaugh's decision to make by any means) has the perfect QB fall into their lap at the perfect slot they won't proceed because of Kapernick's fragile feelings?

If/when the time is right, Harbaugh isn't going down with Kaepernick; he'll save himself. That, or heads will roll.

Kaepernick is more dispensable than you think.
