In 2010, we saw Arian Foster come from nowhere to be one of fantasy's top players.
In 2011, Victor Cruz danced his way from obscurity to fantasy stardom.
In 2012, it was late round rookie Alfred Morris breaking the Shanahan curse and finishing 2nd in rushing.

What name that nobody is talking about right now could potentially end up as a major stud in fantasy football this season?

Dez Bryant should have breakout year.

Monte Ball should emerge as best rookie fantasy stud.

But the juice goes to Jamaal Charles. He's going to go OFF.

-- not so much with the "nobody is talking about" part ?

Even though it doesn't look at all promising right now, I'll stick to my deep sleeper in LaMichael James...

I think Weeden and Cameron give Norv Turner deja vu of the old days with Rivers and Gates.

For receivers, I'll go with Emmanuel Sanders to lead the Steelers and I think Golden Tate steps up big time in the loss of Harvin.

I really like James to start emerging in San Fran. If Marcus Lattimore is able to get healthy again, that could be a devastating rushing attack with those 2 and Kaep. Holy shit...

I'm hoping so badly you are right about Weeden and Cameron. There's a lot of reason to believe it, with what has been coming out of camp and what we've now seen in the preseason, so I really hope this pans out.

Tate is getting a lot of pub and I'm on board. I took him in a 12-man keeper this weekend in like the 11th round, so if he emerges I am gonna be one happy drafter (I also took TY Hilton, so I may have hit the lottery twice with late round sleepers :hope:)

theres a lot of people that have potential.. but that no one is talking about.. that makes it tough.. I like the thompkins on the Patriots.. knile Davis should something happen to charles.. i think it will be sidney rice.. not golden tate to stand out in seattle.. kendall hunter is ready to make the jump.. but has to show something in the reps he does get.. i think at the end of the season we will all be sitting back and say wtf.. where did that dude come from..

Knile Davis is the popular choice in dynasty leagues for a draft and stash guy. I get it. However, there are guys like that every year, so I'd rather grab one that doesn't already have major injury issues (these fuckin RBs from Arkansas and their injury issues. Can any of them stay healthy??)

I like Thompkins, too. I think Kendall Hunter could end up having a good year but if Lattimore is able to come in and be healthy, which is a huge if, I think that backfield is his once Gore hangs it up.

newly acquired SF WR - Jon Baldwin.
Kaeps now has a young fast guy that is tall to throw missles to downfield.

look out folks!

I like Givens but with another good showing in the next 2 games he may start creeping up some boards. Like Hartline (you can find him on most waiver wires......lol). Jeffrey is kind of interesting to me but the way Cutler locks on to Marshall (and the other teams corners) he probably should be on the wire.

Hes a Top3-5 pick so i would expect him to have a good year... But better hope his Foot is ok and that he dosen't re aggravate it.. I am a little worried for Charles; Alex Smith i feel will have a poor year and the O-Line as of now looks a little overrated. For all Charles owners better hope Reid actually runs the ball this year.

The two players I feel will have breakout years who tend to go alittle later are:

Shane Vereen (PPR Beast) He will be New England's Darren Sproles

Jared Cook - No 1 is talking about Cook guy is so under the radar and he should easily finish is a Top8-10 TE. If Cook has a monter year (top 5 te) I would not be surprised 1 bit.

People were saying the same thing last year about Lance Kendricks. Stupid Rams.

I agree sox... the 49 back field is going to be nasty for years to come.. i like gore i just think hes at the end of his rope.. though been saying that for how many years now.. but hunter is taking away reps.. they already told gore they were slowing him down.. and kaeps can throw and run.. lattimore i think will be a beast for a couple of years but he has had some nasty injuries.. that can not be good for a long term career..

im not sure if baldwin is a good fit.. he couldnt make it on a team that only has dwane bowe as a viable threat.. he was given every chance to succeed but cuoldnt do it.. sure it was with the cheifs but bowe has at least made a semi name for himself..

cook is versitle.. they also have been lining him up all over the place like the pats did with A.H. couple that with tavon and givens on the outside.. they problem is the line and the rb position.. they have so many backs i think it will be hard to be consistant.. if the line holds and bradford gets a little more time cook might be a steal this year..

I don't know who you listen to then... lol ive never heard sum call out Kendricks as a breakout last year.. Kendricks talent level is not even in the same ball park as Cooks. Jared is finally on a team that will use him correctly and in a situation where he is going to be a top go 2 guy...

agreed - anyone who ever drafted Kendricks must have really leaned on some shaky fantasy advice. The only league that I have ever seen him even get drafted in was 2 yrs ago, and that was with 6-7 Rams homers as owners in the league. And even then, it was in the last round.

the comparison to Cook is way off here. Fisher took advantage of Cook wanting to argue with TEN that he was a WR, and not a TE. Not a great blocker, has amazing Speed:Size ratio....who wouldnt want a TE that can put up WR2 stats? especially when that TE isnt even being drafted as a legit TE1 yet.

Ask for sleepers, and ye shall receive

Google "Lance Kendricks Fantasy sleeper" and you'll see what I mean. He was also getting talked about on ESPN. He's a great athlete and was a solid TE at Wisky.

yeah - Im not suggesting that anyone draft him, but I think he is at least worthy of clicking the flag and adding him to your 'watch list'

remember - injured his entire rookie year, then got into a fight at practice and broke his hand to start last year. hasnt really had a legit shot yet to get into a groove with KC, let alone SF.

or, SF and KC could have swapped players so that when they both get cut, it won't hit their cap as hard. Isnt that why the Rams/Jests did the OL switcharoo with JSmith and Wayne last year?

Since I dont play any money leagues with you, I'll tell you this:

Go by what local news is on guys more than national news. ESPN is often times showing up to the dance way too late. If they put him on their list, odds are the ADP will go up, and the player wont be a sleeper anymore, or someone else will reach higher than they should for that guy.

STL local said this about Kendricks last year: 'Is he a sleeper, or the next Joe Klopfenstein?'
Before you even ask who Joe Klop is, he was a TE for the rams that never became the receiving threat that many experts/coaches/scouts thought he would.

Kendricks is a great athlete, but there still wasnt anyone drafting him as their TE1 in any season. And if you did, you whiffed big time on that one.
