I know it doesn’t mean anything really and I don’t know the context of them being together at the game, but I have to say I love seeing these two hanging and I love seeing CeeDee seemingly happy about Pickens being here. One thing we need positivity on is pretty much everything surrounding the Pickens situation. Dude is a powered keg. I saw a video on him that had a lot of negativity from Steelers teammates and the media and the such. We need to make him feel comfortable and like he is wanted and welcome and just let him do his thing. This is what we need:

cmon Schmoop, I can't chance anything. I just keep hanging on the rhetoric coming from our coach. I believe the man, and as a fan, I think it's the best coach talk since Bill Parcels wanted to be the Dallas coach.

Kool-aid sipper since 1963 and to me, this is what fans of a team do as the calendar turns.

oh and I'm the dumb ass for thinking 12 wins isn't completely outta of the question. I strongly hold to last seasons seldom carries over from one year to the next.

all these years and now, the Dallas board can be as brutal as the main board.

Need health but maybe this is the year.
I make zero apologies for optimism.

Hey Man
If you wanna follow me around like DJ, Funbags, and other Dallas haters.

As seen here before...I have no problem playing in the mud. You need a time out, this shit has always been about football fans with strong ass opinions. Get over it.

And you get your undies in a twist anytime someone has a "strong football opinion" that differs with yours. The last thing I want to do is follow your grumpy butt around

YET YOU DO.

you're right.
We sure missed out on DT at 12, and Will Howard in round 3.

AND...We need to remind everyone multiple times daily how bad Mazi Smith has been. Guyton is also two plays away from busting.

How could anyone be upset with those " strong football opinions"

it's clearly me.

lol

You read a lot of comparisons of who he is similar to. To me, I see a Pollard type skillset. Blue (like most draft picks of course) is really one of those guys that can go either way. When you watch his highlights you see a guy who has three things that when all work together can be elite: speed, shiftiness and vision. Not a lot of backs have all three. But, those are highlights and I was surprised his YPC wasn't a little higher. If you take away his 77 yard run (which is of course completely unfair) his YPC is under 5YPC. 5th round RBs don't usually earn more than a complimentary role. I think he is going to be our 3rd down back and also get some carries, but I'll go back to what I said when he was drafted. I don't think he is ever a FT back. One small concern I have about him is that if he was NFL caliber you would have expected a few more touches in his earlier seasons even behind those other backs, but they were elite backs so I kind of write that off. But, my biggest concern was that he wasn't even really the number one back on his own College team this year and if Baxter and Clark didn't have season ending injuries in the Summer he would have gone undrafted. Here are the rushing stats for Wisner and Blue from the last 5 games for a Texas team going for a National Championship

A&M: Wisner: 33-186; Blue: 5-7
Georgia: Wisner: 19-51; Blue: 2-2
Clemson: Wisner: 15-110; Blue: 14-146
ASU: Wisner: 18-45; Blue: 4-4
OSU: Wisner: 17-46; Blue: 4-16

I am really excited to see him and to see what he can do. Will he be Tony Dorsett or Lance Dunbar? Time will tell. I'll go back to my Pollard comparison and I think that would make this pick a homerun. We don't need a bell cow back. We need a home run hitter and hopefully that is what he is. I'm fine if he is always a 1A who can give us those dynamic plays. My biggest reason for optimism is that it was clear the scouts liked him and this was obviously a Will McClay draft which is always good news to me. We also heard right after the draft that a few people (not clear if it was coaches or scouts) had him as the #3 back in the entire draft and considering the top 2 went in the first round that is a pretty exciting thing to hear about a 5th rounder. As much as I want to see the other draft picks, I have to say I think Blue is the one I am most looking forward to reading about and seeing in the preseason, maybe Revel too but we don't know how much we will see of him early in the offseason program

It's hysterical that you choose to knock my opinions when your tearfest is that everyone is entitled to their opinion(as long as they dont differ from yours).
Let's break down some of what you knocked. To this point, Mazi Smith is a complete BUST, no matter how much pom pom waiving you do. PFF has him as one of the worst DT's in the league the last two years. Guyton was a BUST last year. Ive said 1000 times im rooting for both kids but they need competition. I stand by that.
Im on record as saying I love the kid they took at 12, but yeah, I would have preferred the DT. I stand by that too.
No, thet didn't take Will Howard. But they did trade for Milton didnt they? So a young QB was on their radar, so I wasn't far off(BTW, Howard has looked good in camp and will start for the Steelers in 26).

Now let's look at some of your incredible takes...you are a cheerleader for Mazi, pretty much for Guyton too. You laughed at my repeated statement that Dak would take us for $60M per...how did that work out for you? You have us going for 12 wins...that makes you optimistic, not a bigger "fan" than guys that see us winning 9-10. I could say we are going 17-0. It wouldn't make me a superman, it would make me an idiot

One of the best things about this offseason. I just saw this tweet and didn't even open the article because I was like "who cares". We have CeeDee and Pickens. We'll figure the rest out :noidea:

Yep. Every year we hear how we got receivers turning heads in OTAs/trading camp and they don't do squat in real games. I honestly would prefer they cut both and give their snaps to fairweather.

They also better be prepared to use two tight ends cuz I don't trust that Guyton or Steele can pass protect

I think the added dimension Blue brings is his ability to catch the football. He has nice hands and runs good routes for a RB and is a demon in space

I think the UDFA might give Mingo and Tolbert a run for their money. Turpin would get more snaps than anyone but Lamb and Pickens if it were me

I'm quite curious to see how Booker pans out... I did want him for Seattle because the guy just moves people... Dallas also seems to have success drafting OL...

well sticking with the theme of positivity.
He will have plenty of tread on the tires. Not worn down by the time he hits the NFL. Also. He was a day 3 pick. So if he does end up a Dunbar :noidea:

Jerry needs a project…. Maybe Trump could put him in charge of selling the Brooklyn Bridge to Canada or China if anybody could get it done it’s Jerry and let the Football people do the job they were hired to do.

Hey a Cowboys fan can dream right?
