That was his best target? Kelce leave him?
I honestly don't care about GOAT debates at this point. He'll almost certainly have to switch teams like Brady at some point to catch him so it's not really something to care about.

All I know is that people expected the Chiefs to regress after losing Hill.

Mahomes won Super Bowls with Kadarius Toney stfu
He just needs to be protected. Knowing Andy Reid as Eagles fans do, it’s shocking that they’ve had tackles issues a few seasons in a row. That’s just not Andy ball. The Eagles are good today because Andy sold Lurie on his principles and it all starts on the line of scrimmage. Mahomes has many more rings in him.

Its the other half of the coin to starting his career with so many weapons. Mahomes started his career with a serviceable but below average veteran LT and a really good veteran RT and top of having Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, the good Kareem Hunt briefly. It was legit stacked.

Its hard to find OT when you're picking 28-32 every year. Chiefs had to rebuild the whole oline after his 3rd year as a starter. They found a pro bowl G and a pro bowl C in the draft. They went after Trent Williams but the Niners gave him more money. Signed Thuney instead and he is a pro bowl level guard (and a bad LT). They traded a draft pick (Oweh) to rent Orlando Brown Jr and draft Nick Bolton. Orlando Brown Jr was mid so they moved on. Honestly, all sensible decisions.

The problem is that for some unknown reason our GM went all-in on RT Jawaan Taylor. Not only is he also mid, but he is a right tackle and not a left tackle which is the elusive position for the Chiefs. Chiefs drafted Kingsley Suamataia as a project at LT and started him day 1 this year. He was the 4th worst OT who played all year for any team according to PFF. Chiefs played really conservative this year and won a lot of games relying on defense, having other teams fall on their face, being lucky, and getting some ref calls. This years draft is supposed to be bad at OT and good at G. Our GM screwed up.

I get so weary over the non-stop QB comparisons to greats from all different eras. All I know is Patrick Mahomes has delivered in the clutch so many times, I've lost count. As a Broncos fan, I hate him. As an NFL fan, I respect him. Sucks when your bitter division rival has the best QB (opinion) in the league. The NFL is in a constant cycle. Broncos dominated the AFCW under Elway and Manning. Now it's the Chiefs turn. The cycle will continue to churn but I always feel fortunate when I get to see greatness.

Eagles were unstoppable in this game. Reminded me of Super Bowl 50 when the Broncos defense (Von Miller) tore up the Panthers. Serious defensive dominance.

Excited for the new season. Unfortunately, we need to go through the dark days of no-football but free agency and the draft will offer a brief respite to that gloom.

Congrats to the Eagles and their fans. Great win.

I think everyone would agree Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL, yeah he didn’t play well in this game but he’s won 3 Super Bowls, 2 MVPs and has had such an excellent career that he’s obviously the best in the NFL right now.
This game sort of reminded me of the Chiefs last Super Bowl loss to the Bucs with how their O-Line got dominated. Eagles played a fantastic game at each level really, and it was impressive that they scored 40 with only 57 rushing yards from Saquon.

The Saquon thing is important to note because everyone was pimping him as MVP. The Chiefs run last year and this year was predicated on the Chiefs stacking the box. The way to beat Spags defense is 2+ good WRs and or TEs. The WRs were the weakest part of the Bills team this year and the Texans had some injuries (and even despite that Stroud had a good game). With the Eagles, they always had some sort of mismatch somewhere. Early in the game the Chiefs covered up the Eagles main WRs and Barkley but weren't getting any pressure on Hurts and he'd find Dotson wide open a couple of times. I think TE a couple of times. IIRC the Chiefs defense basically only had 2 stops in the first half give or take how you feel about the penalties. The one that was a stop probably shouldn't have been (AJ Brown over McDuffie long) but the other penalty probably should've been a stop. Or maybe you think they're both penalties and its the opposite. The other stop being Bolton blitzing and Hurts throwing long into double coverage. The second half the Chiefs made adjustments to cover everyone and Hurts just sealed the game with his legs.

I'm a little leery of giving the Eagles coaches a ton of credit. I think the Eagles clearly had the better team.

To my knowledge, Mahomes' Chiefs teams have gotten their ass kicked three times. People compare this game to the Bucs SB but I think its actually a little more similar to the other game. There was a regular season game against the Titans back in 2021 where the Chiefs D was outmatched so they focused on Henry so Tannehill just passed the ball to AJ Brown all day. Tennessee got 9 QB hits on Mahomes. Was up 27-0 at the half.

The call on McDuffie was on a 2nd and 5 or 2nd and 6. That’s not a drive extending penalty. Are you talking about the Bolton late hit on Saquon? That did extend a drive. It was going to be 2nd and 26 after that play.

2nd series that Eagles scored TD... McDuffie penalty on 3rd and 5. Unsure if Eagles try and go for it on 4th down. I assume that is play he is talking about and a stop.

More rings in him? you mean he's being fist fucked by Super Bowl champions?

Mahomes is a good QB he won 3 Super Bowls, oh so what, so this puts him in the GOAT position? Aikman won 3 he's not GOAT,
Mahomes has a lot of years left to make a charge, to even be amongst the 10 best but rings don't make you the best or demand people remember you. Charles Haley? a lot of rings but Reggie White still owns that position ( Bruce Smith too )
Brady with 7 does have an impact but he's not too far away from the field of great QBs either, He did win without superstars ( except Moss ) and that propels him in my book.
Mahomes is good but isn't far ahead of the current field if at all. Hurts has outplayed him both times, barely got by PURDY?
Not that impressed.

Nice to see you back. Hope you're doing well and it wasn't medically related that stole you away from here.

By the way, reviewing a big child **** arrest in your area, Souderton, a family thing, so sad. you'll see it

He is the most efficient QB of all time in EPA/Play in both the regular and postseasons. It's actually as straight up as can be. You don't need to gas him up with even any of the rings, you can just say he is better and more skilled than X QB. As straight up as it gets. Mahomes outplayed Hurts in 57 both in terms of EPA/Play and total EPA. Hurts had more total plays. The nerds are not abandoning Mahomes for much of anything if they didn't even move off of Manning when Brady had a bajillion rings and crazy longevity.

Yeah, I guess its too difficult to get into theoretical stops. There were only 2 actual stops.

I guess in some sense Im glad this wasnt a close Chiefs win on the other end or else there probably would've been a congress investigation on the Chiefs getting that big call early in the game.
