Superbowl party at sharks place?
Superbowl party at sharks place?
We're inviting ourselves overSuperbowl party at sharks place?
So Miles Garrett wants out of CLE, and I'm 100% with Mike Salk on his take that we should be aggressive in going after him.
This year's 1st (18)+ next year's 1st + one of Mafe / Hall. Then trade DK for a 1st to replenish that pick.
Finding a top tier young QB is looking next to impossible right now, so next best thing is to bring in the most dominant pass rusher in the game and make the D a powerhouse. Garrett is in his prime and is an absolute game changer. Adding him likely makes next year's 1st Rd pick 22+ anyway, so that makes it sting less.
Draft guys are saying quality interior D linemen will be available in day 2 picks this year anyway, so we can still address the biggest need regardless.
It's a interesting idea, but like some have said, don't feel the team is one player away from being Superbowl contenders, even a Miles Garrett type. Can the Seahawks get a first for Metcalf? Maybe, mostly because this draft isn't loaded at WR like last year, but be tough to find a trade partner willing to give a first and it would create another hole on the offensive side of the team. If the Seahawks make a big move this off season I'd rather they do something like sign OL Trey Smith. So Miles Garrett wants out of CLE, and I'm 100% with Mike Salk on his take that we should be aggressive in going after him.

The first rounder would be late but could look into Baltimore, Buffalo, Houston or Commanders. It's a interesting idea, but like some have said, don't feel the team is one player away from being Superbowl contenders, even a Miles Garrett type. Pass. I could see him pouting when Geno struggles. If Adams would like to come in for a short term/low contract deal, sure. We don't really have a bunch of younger WRs he'd take reps from. That's fine.
That said, this draft is not bad in terms of mid round talent. You're likely not going to find an elite #1 WR (which DK isn't anyway) but there's some good stuff there as your #2/#3. Fortunately JSN has shown he can be a #1. So sure, bring Adams in if he costs cheap. I think he'll be mailing it in though, but who knows. I do think the players in the league respect Geno which actually says quite a bit for how hard you're going to get guys to play for you. If Adams actually cares, he could help this org.
I think DK is done with Seattle. I really don't know how to say it, but he just seemed to be mailing it in a little bit this last year.
I get why you could think this but he is 29 and we are not ready to contend even with this guy. Thats a lot of pieces to give up and they really need all those picks for the pieces it would give them. Not going to get a 1st for DK. Maybe Trade DK to Cleveland for Garrett. lol
100% not for giving up two firsts for Garrett, another bandaid move selling out the future under the delusion we are one player away when we arent
if schneider suspects his job is on the line, he has nothing to lose and it makes perfects sense to do something dumb like this.right now we got to build for the "Future" Garrett isn't building " For the future". This feels 100% like a TR move, a Band-aid for a chance to grasp at something more than "Just making" the playoffs. These moves fail more than they ever work. 2 years from now when this team is ready to trully compete where is Garrett other than taking away picks that could still be studs on the time and on cheep contracts? He would be a 30+ aging player on the decline costing you a ton of money.
TR move.
Word on the street is Genoa smith contract extension is in the works
I'd be shocked if he's not extended here shortly... MM seems to have all the confidence in the world with Geno...Word on the street is Geno smith contract extension is in the works
The first came in a FOX 13 TV interview with Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald. When asked whether he expects Smith to be his starting quarterback in 2025, Macdonald didn’t hesitate.
“Heck yeah, man,” Macdonald said. “Geno’s our quarterback. I don’t understand the conversation. It’s pretty obvious this guy’s a heck of a quarterback. He’s our quarterback. We love him. Can’t wait to go to work with him.
“We’ve had a lot of non-football conversations – to keep it legal – over the last month or so, and I know he’s really excited about (new offensive coordinator) Klint (Kubiak) taking over. This guy, he’s a great player, man. And we can win a championship with Geno Smith. We really believe that, and I can’t wait to get back to work with him.”
