When EB was at KC regardless if he called plays. It was Reid's offense and it was always gonna be that way. EB came to Washington to get out of Reid's shadow, to be a stand alone offensive play caller and everyone knew it. The only thing that would change if they fired RR tonight and made EB HC is we woudn't see RR on the sidelines at games anymore.

Like it or not. This is EB's test.
... and that's unfortunate!
So, to be clear, EB's "test," is one that offered him an offensive team with talent that's average at their collective best and he's supposed to get above-average results from this bunch? How???

Every successful NFL head coach will tell you that the Genius" label comes directly from the high-grade talent that he's been blessed with.

Put this guy on the field with a true WR1 and he becomes far more dangerous!
Remember Washington traded down to get more draft picks, they passed on Chris Olave and Jameson Williams forcing themselves to pick the less talented Jahan Dotson.
Imagine either Olave or Williams and T Mac on this team. Granted Williams has been hit with a troubling start to his NFL career but he has that rare combination of height, elite speed, and quickness that make him a major threat for explosive plays. (Everything that you'd expect from a true WR1)

sure, players are not playing well but EB put Howell in awful situations yesterday. He got outcoached you can't deny that.
I can absolutely deny it and here's my evidence. Neither team is playing well but matched position for position there's not a hair's difference between what they have and what our team has offensively. It matters that some people insist that T Mac is better than anyone that the Giants have in their receiving corp and I'll give them that... advantage Washington correct?

However, the final score was 14-7, and looking at where that scoring came from the difference between their guys and our guys is undeniable!!

Tyrod Taylor vs Howell = Advantage the more polished and experienced veteran QB.

Again..you think he stays or want him to say. I have asked the same question a million times!!!

Why would you want him to stay??????
i critized RR many times on in game calls. 8-81 he is gone. 9-8 and doenst make the playoffs gone. How do i talk in circles. I said if RR wins a playoff game i think he stays. How is that talking in circles?
I know that there's a difference between football and basketball but the goals in each are championships, that said... (Perhaps it's a sign of things to come here)

Josh Harris fired Doc Rivers last year after they made the East conf. semifinals and lost.

Here's that statement...
The Philadelphia 76ers have parted ways with head coach Doc Rivers following the team’s chastening Eastern Conference Semifinals defeat to the Boston Celtics, the team announced on Tuesday.

“Doc is one of the most successful coaches in NBA history, a future Hall of Famer, and someone I respect immensely,” Daryl Morey, Sixers President of Basketball Operations, said in a statement.

“We’re grateful for all he did in his three seasons here and thank him for the important impact he made on our franc
“After having the chance to reflect upon our season, we decided that certain changes are necessary to further our goals of competing for championships!

We are currently 26th or 27th in defense dean...how is the projection on our good defense looking?

So is Vegas accurate or not with this team?

right that is the surprise right now

i am not going to forget that because its a clear example of harris' mindset RR has had 11 yrs of "fair shot " he has had 3 yrs of "fair shot "

but you are saying the only way he stays is with a NFC championship appearance. So you call that a fair shot? With a rookie QB to boot.

ok dean , if we win the one playoff game vs the supposed number 2 seed , then lose in the next game , do you think RR can take the team to the superbowl ?

doesnt matter. beating the #2 seed should mean something and will give this franchise a playoff win in the last 26 years. If RR had no fair chance of staying should have fired him in TC and role with JDR.

RR has had more than a fair shot. 4 years worth in fact. With the exception of drafting Haskins. Every other personnel move was made, authorized or OKed by RR. You keep talking like RR deserves something from Harris. He doesn't. If RR deserves anything it's getting fired. And he continues to talk as if the Skins are an expansion team In year 2. WTF any Skins fan after 4 years of watching this shit would say RR deserves another year if the Skins get to the playoffs n win a game is ass backwards nonsensical to me.

Do this for me dean. Tell me one thing that RR has done to improve the culture of the Skins. Or made them a better on the field team.

i know how you feel if that was the case should have fired him in TC. RR certainly has changed the locker room culture here. I agree he hasn't done anything as of right now to warrant him staying. IMO beating the #2 seed is an overachievement for this team.

Yes I call that a real expectation and it makes the case that RR is stepping up his game

I don't follow basketball but i have been told the 76ers had a championship type roster. The expectations were very high. How do you compare that to us? We dont have a roster like the top two or three teams in the NFC. Did Harris really believe we had a Superbowl roster this year? Was it Superbowl or bust for RR? The expectations for our team this year weren't very high. It was maybe a #7 seed.

After 4 yrs it should be . If we aren’t a superbowl roster then who is at fault ? Harris ? Rales ? Magic ? No it’s RR , he picked the players and staff and one playoff win won’t change it , you have to get 2,

It's awful and I have no clue why Dean would want this work out at all. Why keep a HC and GM who have a fluke year?

Let me ask you this skinsdad and board folks, why has rivera/Mayhew neglected the OLine?

Did they believe our players and free agents were better than they are?

Did they not properly evaluate the free agents and draft picks?

Is OLine not a priority in their overall team strategy...kinda like linebackers?

I am not trying to be funny and am curious what the reason or reasons are.
whoever in the front office that did it just proves the need for better people who know what the hell to do.ol should have been an obvious need to anybody competent.

I think you all miss Danny.
for all his faults and there were many,he,d have fired rr after the chicago debacle.
but you are saying the only way he stays is with a NFC championship appearance. So you call that a fair shot? With a rookie QB to boot.
that,s about as likely to happen as a bigfoot or loch ness monster sighting.only way rivera gets to the championship game is if he buys a ticket.

The truth is dean you came up with the foolish playoff scenario in the off season . I had us at 7 wins so any playoff scenario isn’t on the table. RR should be gone , he will have a four year losing record and a poor record for evaluating talent , deploying talent , acquiring talent and drafting talent

Cy didn’t get a 5th yr option , Davis wont , Dotson is regressing . His 2nd round picks save cosmi have been horrible and even cosmi had to have a position change .

His coaching decisions are urine as the wince / browns fiasco establishes.

So if you think a fluke playoff win erases that , then your Homerism is over riding reality and only is delaying the inevitable

I don’t want RR , hurney or mayhew anywhere near 100 mil in cap space or drafting another player and new ownership should be wary of it

Stop making excuses for Rivera Dean.
It was Rivera decision to start a rookie in year 4. Rivera failed to address the qb position until year 4.

You can't give Rivera a mulligan on the season because of howell. That was his strategy and choice.

Again, like breed said, why in the world does Rivera deserve anything.

Something in your mind thinks he is a good coach and I don't know why. You are literally arguing with 5 posters on this. You need to rethink your position. I am trying to save you from the wentz embarrassment.

There you go defending Rivera again.

In year four with total control. He wanted total roster authority so he needs to be accountable. It is 100% his fault if the roster is not competitive.

That is why these conversations are frustrating.

If we don't have the roster, whose fault is that? You have to hold Rivera accountable for something Dean.

A playoff win is an overachievement in your opinion. Stop saying it as fact.

You need to come to the understanding that criticizing Rivera is not showing disloyalty to the team. He is not a dictator that we must support. There is no difference in being critical of gruden, Zorn, or Rivera.
