My post game thoughts:

I was most disappointed in the defense. I believe redksinfan predicting TB to have 31 points and I said I would be disappointed .... they had 37. I was most disappointed in the defense ... the entire defense and not just whipping boy Forbes.

Stick Figure, St. Elsewhere, Stand Still and Where's Martin were not good.

The pass rushers got home but looked like they were trying to catch a greased pig. They got home only to watch Mayfield slip out and find someone open off schedule. He carved up the Redskin D.

Why did it take so long to see Ekeler?

The OLine was horrible and Bowles knew it. Credit to Daniels for running, points taken back for not doing what Daniels did which was to play off schedule and find open receivers. In Daniels defense the WR room leaves a lot to be desired. Daniels was running for his life in the 1st half. They got better when Bowles called off the dogs with a big lead in the 2nd half.

Daniels played like a rookie in his first game. He had running yards in the 1st half with little passing yards. No off schedule plays of note. Bowles brought the house and JD had no answers, nor did the OLIne. The kid was under siege. The run game was bad in the first half.

York should be cut to save the 7th round pick. Two missed FGs and a kick off OOB.

JD5 missed a 70 yard TD pass to Terry who was otherwise rarely seen. The backwards pass was probably nerves. He has tools and it was expected he would struggle this early. He was better in the 2nd half but that is because Bowles let him be better.

My grades are:
Defense = F
QB = C-
OLine = F
RBs = B-
WRs = F
Special Teams = F

My feeling is the coaching staff under played guys in the preseason which I stated on several occasions. Daniels needed more reps. The starting D needed more reps. A kicker is still needed. Watching Boswell make 4 over 50 with a chip shot 44 yarded spoke volumes. Nothing last night changed my mind.

I still believe in the FO and coaching staff. They turned over an entire roster. I believe they'll get better and I am changing my season prediction to 6 at best.

This team was not ready. The Secondary is absolutely terrible. Tackling was an issue all game. In offense, this QB will not make it through the season if he is the leader in rushing attempts and rushing yards. Especially since he can’t slide (WTF? How can he not know how to slide?). It’s going to be a long season for TMac. Because he has no one else on that WR corp who is even remotely scary to the opposition. He will be double teamed all year long. Game plans on both sides of the ball were not good. Dan Quinn better be busting some asses this week. Both players and coordinators.

All I got out of the game was JD slides worse than RG3. If that is not rectified, JD will be destroyed because the refs protected him and so did TB. The refs even called a roughness penalty on TB that clearly was not.
