not true at all. we went through this, if we win a playoff game this year i think RR stays. Stop with the illusion that I want RR to stay no matter what happens this year.
I didn't ask if you think he stays...i asked if you want him to stay. It's a simple question.

You have said if Rivera loses, you want him gone right?
What happens if he goes 8-8-1 again?
What happens if he goes 9-8 and doesn't make the playoffs then what?

You talk in circles sometimes and don't answer the question.

I still think you want rivera to stay and work out here. I think you want rivera to be the long term answer because you hyped him up so much and refuse to really criticize him. My opinion.

players have to perform. Look at Dotson, you cant drop that pass on 4th down for the game. It hit your hands. 1st round pick. But you blame RR b/c he drafted him. Sure, but the 1st round WR has to catch that pass
Why are you so quick to defend Rivera? I agree that Dotson should have caught thst but howell didn't make the best throw.

Nobody is blaming Rivera for the dropped ball. The problem is, you don't blame Rivera for anything with this organization.

It's the players fault
It's EBs fault

Anybody but Rivera in your book. The fact that you are still on the fence about Rivera is mind boggling to me. You have never provided a reason.

i critized RR many times on in game calls. 8-81 he is gone. 9-8 and doenst make the playoffs gone. How do i talk in circles. I said if RR wins a playoff game i think he stays. How is that talking in circles?

I have blamed RR. Im not firing him if we win a playoff game for the 102nd time. That is my opinion about the matter.

if we win a playoff game something had to go right in the season or that playoff game to warrant him staying

So a single playoff win negates the crap we have dealt with since he has been here and his below average career you. I can't believe your expectations are this low.

You said he stinks as a GM, but a playoff win negates that.
He is not a consistent winner as a coach, but a playoff win negates that.
Our defensive team captain says he is sick of it, but a playoff win negates that.
Rivera doesnt even talk to the team during half time, but a playoff win negates that.

We are halfway done with thrlw season almost and you still want this guy being our gm and head coach. Surely you don't believe this.
This is the most bizarre conversation I have had on the Hoop. You might be the only fan who still believes in Rivera and believes a playoff win is enough to erase the numerous mistakes he has made. I dont think you are serious or believe that.

i know he had made many mistakes. That is what i feel if he wins a playoff game. Hey, you are asking me the question I'm being honest. Think about this if we do win that playoff game, hypothetically being the #7 seed that would mean beating the #2 seed, a team like Philly or SF away. Why wouldn't that count for anything? Fans would be thrilled if that happened. Not to say it's going to happen, but you are saying the past trumps that playoff win. Fine, I respect your opinion.

I dont understand that and never will. Winning a playoff game proves nothing with a Rivera led team and you know that.

I have never seen a fan defend a coach the way you do. For the life of me, I can't figure it out.

You and I have different agendas for this team obviously. A playoff game win mea s nothing in the long term scheme of things.

always a good read.

little shocked all RR has to do is win a playoff game.

maybe EB isn't as..oh nevermind
It literally makes no sense but to each their own. I can't wrap my mind around it.

Our own defensive captain said he is sick of it. Even Riveras body language shows he doesn't care.

I want to see stability, not players having melt downs in interviews and a coach not addressing his team at halftime.

Rivera has not had a winning season in 5 years, but a single playoff win erases all I guess...sigh.

its not defending RR, I would say that to any coach we had. Beating the #2 seed counts.

Because you aren't thinking long term dean...you are thinking here and now.

You said Rivera stinks as a GM, as such, why would you want a GM who stinks to lead the organization? A playoff win doesnt make someone a good GM instantly.

We will have almost 80 million in cap and another draft. Why on earth would you want rivera to have access to this when he stinks? You yourself said you want to move away from the coach centric model when Rivera is gone. You also acknowledged that Rivera has never had back to back winning seasons in 12 years. Why would that trend change now?

Different agendas Dean
You want 9 wins at minimum
You want rivera to stay
You are soley focused on this season only

I want
The best front office in the nfl
I want a GM to run the team
I want a good head coach selected by the GM
I want stability and steady improvement

You and I want different things. Rivera has proven historically and currently that he meets none of my wants..not one. You are here and now with no long term understanding. You think magic and harris will tolerate losing to a 1-5 giants team and getting blown out by the bears? Please.

The circus needs to be over, but please keep the rivera propaganda up...geez.

The GM thing probably will be changed. Magic and Harris will tolerate it if RR beats the #2 seed in the playoffs. If that happens it would have been a massive overachievement this year.

Not in the long term perspective dean...not at all. It's a temporary success and nothing more. It is not indicative of future success with Rivera and I can prove that if you wish.

If we did beat the #2 .. it would be luck. We are almost half way done with the season. You do realize we have played some very poor teams right? Turning it around now would be a miracle. I am not interested in miracles or fluke wins.

You are and that is the difference. You are an instant gratification fan who doesn't see anything in the long term.

How will it change? We have already covered this.

If Magic and harris tolerate Rivera and his fluke win, shame on them. I hope they would still fire him because one playoff win doesn't erase 12 years of mediocrity Dean.

Your inability to think long term is strange to me.

12 years, he has been here 4. You evaluate RR from his tenure here.
