No NFL team is hurting for money. The only money that matters is salary cap numbers. And unless things have greatly changed since I used to pay attention, practice squad players don't count towards salary cap.

The practice squad players most assuredly count against the cap once the regular seasons begins. All teams have to be compliant with 53-man rosters and P.S. prior to the first regular season game. Right now, and up until the end of pre-season teams only need to be compliant to top 51. That money for the P.S. will be needed at some point and time just as much as I.R. player replacement monies.

He is just turning 28 this summer so there are enough years to spread it out.

True, however, Paschal and Cominsky and Romeo are all considered closed ends in this scheme. There may not be a need after the draft and once pre-season comes to the final 53-man roster. I stated that for now there is no need to release him, but it may be considered prior to the regular season beginning. What the Lions need at the edge rusher position is a complement to Hutch and Houston and not another closed end.

Also, need to assume AG running more 5-man fronts this season like he did those last 5-6 games.

Cominsky signing is the best news I heard all day.

Granted, that doesn't say much for my day. Good news, though.

Just a reminder of who they played and the ppg that those teams' offenses were generating at the time played. It's not all that impressive if you truly delve into the numbers. It's a positive yes, but surely not awe inspiring.

Here's what I see.

(1) Held the great Aaron Rodgers to 25 points in two games and are the reason they didn't make the playoffs. The 2nd game when they were on a roll in Lambeau.

(2) Played 4 playoff teams in a row and went 3-1. Beating the Giants by 13, the Vikings by 11, and absolutely destroying the Jags.

(3) After each loss, destroyed the next team they played.

(4) Gave up 20.2 points per game in that 10 game stretch.

(5) No one got hurt celebrating.

(6) No one purposely lined up in the wrong position or purposely ran the wrong route.

How many games missed is in Montgomery's career to date? Is he another Swift?

So much for my last post in the draft thread.

It never hurts to wish even though one of the then tandem mentioned is no longer here.

I like Bijan even if it were still to happen whether at No.6 or No.18.

I thought I read on here that the Lions had resigned Jamaal.

If not, I blame the weed.

Four games in four years.

Is he good at pass-pro? Receiving out of the backfield?
I really haven't paid attention to the Bears even when we play them as far as memory recall is concerned.
